_Fatboyslow_ Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 pictures of him on twitter today apparently at Lisbon Airport, probably getting a flight to Moscow! He must be slumming it then if he's using Luton, it's all budget and package flights, unless it a private jet from round the back, are the pics showing the main terminal ?
Fox Ulike Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 The Cardozo rumour is only being carried by two minor sources: Tribal Football and Inside Futbol. That means that this has barely more credibility than a Twitter rumour. Chances are he’ll join a Russian side, and Cardozo’s agent is just using us as a bargaining chip with his negotiations with the Russian sides, because it’s known we’re in the market for a striker because of our widely-reported interest in Ulloa.
Mark_w Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I've had time to reconsider this. Been thinking about Ricky Van Wolfswinkel and his move to Norwich. He seemed to be pretty well know to English fans and was for whatever reason rated and they generally thought it was a strong signing. Cardozo seems to be similarly rated due to a solid scoring record for Benfica (and being a ledge on FM). Their fans don't seem to bothered though, could he have gone off the boil in the last couple of years and could he be a similar signing to RVW? No, that is not possible.
Callabinho Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 As amazing as it sounds, it is sooo not a Nigel signing....

artursteppe Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Gareth Bale flew from Luton Airport when he signed for Real. Cheapskate!
Trumpet Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Abramovic also travels from Luton. Quite a few private jets operate from there actually.

This sounds the most likely scenario. Indeed, I hope it is. I'm not sure what we need is a 31-year-old striker who used to be good but who had injuries last season and lost his regular first-team place. Doesn't sound like a hungry, value-retaining NP signing either. Happy to be proved wrong, but I'd be a lot more optimistic about Ulloa - and hope we have options other than Cardozo, if Ulloa is not obtainable.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 http://www.westham.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=363239 Linked with West Ham but no desire to play for them. Probably rules us out in that case (if we were genuinely interested)

Probably rules us out in that case (if we were genuinely interested) That's because he has set his heart on Leicester City football club! he loves the colour blue! and his favourite childhood snack was cheese and onion walkers crisps! And we're going to pay him £60,000pw for 3 years I WISH......
Carlos88LCFC Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 "Reports in the Portuguese press claim that Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo has turned down the chance to move to the Premier League with West Ham. The Paraguay international was a 10million euros target for the Upton Park club, but they will now have to look at alternative options." SSN
