65RosesFox Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 What a CATastrophe Apparently it was a WHISKER away from death You could say he was in GRAVE danger Some of these puns are paw.
Agent Fox Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 Some of these puns are paw. You guys need to find a way to claw back some of that dignity you've squandered.
kingfox Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 Just get Jurgen Locadia and be done with. This is piss take.
Eastwellfox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I think we have more chance of getting Oscar Wilde!!
Babylon Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 When before did he have this money? Why do people hark back on the pearson mould when talking money. Even he is not sure he has nevr had this sort of money before. Perhaps he's referring to Pearson himself talking about signings that have value. Ie. resale value. Cash transfers have all tended to be younger players, that will be worth more if they do well. Or can be sold for cash if things don't go too well. A player of his age for a large fee would go against what he's preached and his previous signings. But like you say, possible with some prem cash he might bend his rule a little.
queensguardfox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 http://www.footballfancast.com/premiership/leicester/leicester-city-lining-up-12m-benfica-raid? In london? discussing a offer? Leicester City are making a serious run at acquiring Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo, according to the Daily Mail. Benfica, who are reported to want £12million in return for 31-year-old Cardozo, are expected to be in London today to discuss a possible move. Cardozo admitted earlier this month he could leave the Portuguese champions, and has been linked with moves to Lokomotiv Moscow and Rubin Kazan of the Russian Premier League as well. In an interview with Izvestia, Cardozo said: “There is a strong league in Russia. Everyone can see that Russian clubs have signed fine players, many of whom I know.†But a move to Leicester makes sense, as they will be moving into the Premier League next season after finishing as Champions of the Football League Championship last term. WANT MORE? >> Leicester transfer news | Latest transfer news In order to do so, however, they will need to add more firepower up front, and a player like Cardozo is the kind of tall, physical striker who can dominate opposing defenders. They have already been active in the transfer market this summer, with former Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton, who signed a four-year contract, their biggest of five signings. Leicester are also said to be interested in Cardiff’s Frazier Campbell and Excelsior’s 6ft 5in Lars Veldwijk, both of whom are strikers.

Here's me thinking we'd only signed Upson, Hamer, Albrighton and Barmby.

RizLCFC Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Different sites are publishing the same story. I think we are interested even if we don't sign him. Nigel and his team keep things to themselves, therefore, no one really knows what's going on, summed up by the Mercury yesterday.
Dan Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Here is a link, with a direct quote from Cardozo's agent http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/liga-benfica-oscar-cardozo-pedro-aldave/5384c95a0cf2594956d8605e.html Am I reading that right? His agent quotes that Leicester is possible? Well well well...
Langley Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Am I reading that right? His agent quotes that Leicester is possible? Well well well... That practically means he's signed right...?
Callabinho Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 A Spanish newspaper today stated that the two parties met to discuss, representatives from both Moscow and Leicester apparently met with Cardozo's agent?
VLC86 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Am I reading that right? His agent quotes that Leicester is possible? Well well well... His agent, the person who would probably take a 10% cut of any transfer fee says it's possible? This must be right as they are generally trustworthy and honest people who act with integrity

st albans fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 The agent will be very influential in where the player ends up. In fact, in many cases the agent will make the decision for the player! So it's paramount for the agent that the package he drives for his client is as big as possible. That's what's going on here. The agent needs more clubs 'interested' to drive up what he can get from the Russians. Maybe we should be flattered.
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Can't believe this thread is as long as it is! There is more chance of me playing up front for city next season than cardozo!
Babylon Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 A Spanish newspaper today stated that the two parties met to discuss, representatives from both Moscow and Leicester apparently met with Cardozo's agent? Just a rehash of the other story if you ask me. It just gets passed through different online translators and changes a little bit each time another country picks it up....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHitX2x5FF0
Vlad the Fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 I think we've got about 15 different versions of the same story.
hackneyfox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 The agent will be very influential in where the player ends up. In fact, in many cases the agent will make the decision for the player! Players allow their agents to decide where they will play??? I can't imagine that happening with any half decent player.
sylofox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Players allow their agents to decide where they will play??? I can't imagine that happening with any half decent player. I don't see that with any player unless there is only one offer. Like fvck if I was a pro would my agent be able to agree a move for me. End up at chaventry the sheep or florist bollox to that.

This must be right as they are generally trustworthy and honest people who act with integrity Are you going to pretend his agent doesn't have a big say in where he ends up?
st albans fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Players allow their agents to decide where they will play??? I can't imagine that happening with any half decent player. given that the player will only find out about offers via his agent, if the agent isnt interested, the player wont be signing.
Babylon Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 given that the player will only find out about offers via his agent, if the agent isnt interested, the player wont be signing. I'm sure the players current club may inform them also.
MC Prussian Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 How many times have we gone in circles in the causa Cardozo already? My head's still spinning.
