hackneyfox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 given that the player will only find out about offers via his agent, if the agent isnt interested, the player wont be signing. That's slightly different to claiming that the agent decides where a player will go. As Babs says the selling club will also tell the player and I'd imagine that a club who wants to buy the player but believes the agent hasn't passed that on may well approach the player directly to tell him that the agent isn't working in the players best interests.
st albans fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Believe what you want - i'm told that in most cases, if the agent says 'no' then the player wont go. we're not talking here about clubs making offers - of course the club will inform the player and his agent in that case. this is about agents deciding where they want to place their clients and this is primarily what drives this whole section of the forum.

The agent works for the player not the other way round. Any agent doing what you claim would not have work for very long. Word would soon be passed round by players. Players will take advice but not as you claim with the agent making the choice.
Haydos Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Until I hear he's signed a new deal/for someone else I'm going to tug one off to a new photo of him every night.
glen parva fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 What did Nigel say? Most of his targets we will probably never heard of! All he has signed so far we have.

This thread is done I think.
The Doctor Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Sweet, this seasons on-off transfer is under-way. Can we get some Benfica troglodytes to mimic the bitter brizzle fans when Maynard was possibly coming or not a few years back? I doubt we'll get him, but all this talk of meeting his agent is exciting. Cardozo and Vardy up front would be killer - Vardys running opening up space for Cardozo to smash to pieces.
Bayfox Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 How many times have we gone in circles in the causa Cardozo already? My head's still spinning. Is that his brother?
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 What did Nigel say? Most of his targets we will probably never heard of! All he has signed so far we have. I've never heard of this bloke, I'm seemingly the only person on the planet who hasn't though.
MPH Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I think we've got about 15 different versions of the same story. Hopefully one of them will Translate Soon To US Actually Signing him!!
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I've never heard of this bloke, I'm seemingly the only person on the planet who hasn't though. Not the only one. And his name sounds like a South American gangster.
Haydos Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I've never heard of this bloke, I'm seemingly the only person on the planet who hasn't though. What? Benfica's best stiker for the last 6/7 years and a champ on footy manager?
Houdini Logic Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I've never heard of this bloke, I'm seemingly the only person on the planet who hasn't though. Just join the rest of us who have quickly read his wikipedia, watch 2 videos on youtube and then claim to have 'been following him for some time'...
Babylon Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 What? Benfica's best stiker for the last 6/7 years and a champ on footy manager? Well I don't play football games and don't follow Benfica, so not much of a surprise I don't know him. I've not watched much champions league for a few years now and have never watched the Europa League.
jammie82uk Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 I've heard of him before but that is only because he has been linked to about every top 10 prem team in the last couple of years
Mikey Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Just join the rest of us who have quickly read his wikipedia, watch 2 videos on youtube and then claim to have 'been following him for some time'... Yeah, because it's impossible to follow European football..
Houdini Logic Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Yeah, because it's impossible to follow European football.. Yep. That's exactly what I was saying. Good work.
sphericalfox Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Well I don't play football games and don't follow Benfica, so not much of a surprise I don't know him. I've not watched much champions league for a few years now and have never watched the Europa League. part-timer

LCFC31 Posted 1 July 2014 Posted 1 July 2014 So pleased this rumour has been revived. Foxestalk was getting a little boring.
