I hope you were the one betting against it...

I was the one making a joke on an internet forum that went straight over your head pal.

Oh that was a joke? I thought you were genuinely serious... Wouldn't put it past you to do that ;)

What's this genuinely serious you talk about?

A friend of mine who is close to people at the club told me that they believe that Hopper is extremely highly rated and think he'll be used for us this season.

Really can't see it myself, especially as he wasn't given the chance in the championship......but just thought I'd share it anyway!

Well he was listed as our only long term injury on Sky Sports news so he's definitely first team

Slightly off topic

Whatever happened to Harry P's first team career/chances?

One appearance one goal a couple of years ago and never seen again

He's only 19 now, probably see him go out on loan this year at some point imo.

Can't see any of our youth strikers getting a proper chance in the next few years at least. We will go for proven experience up front, especially if we only start one striker. Shame really but unless a Rooney comes along, then that's the way it will be for a while I feel.

The only 15 minutes of first team football I've seen Tom Hopper, a year or two since, I was really impressed. He was injured for most of last season, but It's good to hear the club rate him.

Gotta say I am really hopeful he will develop into a first team regular.

Is he more of a target man? Whenever I see/hear about him it sounds like he plays that role.

I hope he gets given a proper chance for us as I rate him and is a good targetman. Can see him being loaned out to either a lower Championship club or a League 1 club.
