Dan Posted 6 June 2014 Posted 6 June 2014 Aguerro top scorer at 16/1 has to worth a pop. Look at their group and who they could play if they win it. There should be goals to be had for them this tournament. Got to be considered. I fancy him to bag more than Messi as well but after being a huge defender of Messi it would be absolutely typical for it to be him who ends up meaning I lose my bet. I'm going to look into a few more of these. I'm amazed by the odds I've received on that treble. Genuinely think I could win big there.
separator Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I have finally identified someone who is with me on this. Pressure will be on Brazil, if it stays 0-0 for a while I can see the locals getting restless. Brazil are the better team obviously but Croatia are no mugs. Has to be worth a speculative punt at 11/1

Has to be worth a speculative punt at 11/1 i totally agree sir, since brazil is hosting, the pressure is going to be a tremendous factor for them. but still im betting on brazil.
Stadt Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Can you bet on who'll score the most headers? And if you can what are Klose's odds?
BoneDog Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 Had a few quid on Chile to win both half's v the Aussies, and Uruguay to win both halves v Costa Rica, double nearly 12/1. Wasn't sure if it's half's or halves so went for both. Also whacked some on England to reach the quarters at 6/4. Was gonna go for the semis at 5/1 but didn't have the bottle. Do people think that Premier League players will score more total goals than La Liga players?

BoneDog Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 In two words, absolutely not. Sure I saw odds of 11/4 on Sky Bet for La Liga players to score more than Premier League players. I'll double check in a bit.
AKCJ Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 In two words, absolutely not. I think the four of Ronaldo, Aguero, Neymar and Costa make it a waste of time. La Liga will score more.
Ross-Kemp Posted 7 June 2014 Posted 7 June 2014 I think the four of Ronaldo, Aguero, Neymar and Costa make it a waste of time. La Liga will score more.Aye definitely considering 2 of them play in the premier league.
ScouseFox Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 So anyone tempted by Honduras @ 80/1 in the "team to get most yellow cards" market after that?
BoneDog Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 It's worth a pound or two at that price but they'll likely only have 3 games so need them to go mental in all three really.
ScouseFox Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Well if they go anything like as mental as they did tonight three games in a row they'll probably end up with more yellows than everyone else in the world put together
lcfc"weasel" Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Got Barkley to start in England's first game at 12/1 weeks ago. Here's hoping
Bert Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Golden boot winner and tournament winner is a great market. Great payout if you can pick it.
Ashley Posted 8 June 2014 Author Posted 8 June 2014 Golden boot winner and tournament winner is a great market. Great payout if you can pick it. Argentina bet stuck out to be fair who ever posted that.
Dan Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Got Barkley to start in England's first game at 12/1 weeks ago. Here's hoping Sadly that's probably not going to come in as much as it should. Father Ted won a shit load off a couple of players being in the squad IIRC. PL v La Liga... I expect a strong tournament from South American sides and more of their players are at La Liga clubs than Premier League - not to mention Spain themselves.
Nalis Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Put one a few top team scorers today: Joel Campbell and Daniel Sturridge: £5 to get £100 Kagawa and Bony: £2 to get £144. Just went with my gut on that one... As mentioned before, I reckon there is money to be had on the top team scorers for the weaker teams who might only score once in the whole tournament.

I know someone who pocketed thousands for betting on Lallana, Ox, Sterling and Barkley being in the squad.
Agent Fox Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Just put £5 on to win £327 with William Hill. Cameroon, Australia, Greece, Costa Rica, Hondouras, Iran, USA and South Korea to finish bottom of their respective groups.

Reckon Greece might mess it up for you, that group is close to call...

Cameroon, Australia, Greece, Costa Rica, Hondouras, Iran, USA and South Korea to finish bottom of their respective groups. Korea wont finish bottom, I really doubt that will happen. Will be surprised if Greece do too actually. Think a few of the groups are too tight to call!

I think there's money on team top scorers too. But I look at ones like Campbell and think he should be Costa Rica's top scorer if they score any goals, but will they score? They could play three games and not score.
