Trav won't be too pleased

I meant when sending it back to them 'freepost'

people get it  for the crossword and name game. They do it in their morning Tea break then hang it up in the loos at lunch time.

So you admit to taking the Sun newspaper into the bathroom?

Don't know what's worse, The Sun, or the fact The Sun have this time printed Joey Essex and Harry Styles on the same page as Paul McCartney and John Cleese.

Hate The Sun. Scum.

Whilst I don't agree with Essex's inclusion you can't really argue with Harry Styles being there.

It's quite ironic that you compared him with McCartney because they've basically done the same things (However McCartney was more talented).

As you can imagine, not been at all popular with posties. Most walks are about 500 addresses and 500 24 page Suns probably adds an extra couple of heavy bags to the days work. Fortunately I am on firms (businesses) delivery in a van, so I didn't deliver any! I do however object to having crap journalism pushed through my door. Any newspaper than has to HIGHLIGHT the IMPORTANT words in it, in case it's readership fails to understand isn't worth picking up.

I'm not biting for once ;)

I wasn't comparing them. I was just pointing out, they've put legends on yet other pointless celebrities.

You might not like Styles' band or music but he's certainty not pointless like Joey Essex

Im  no tree hugging lefty, but it sure does seem like a waste of paper/trees

Exactly, such a waste, and for what? Do they really think people don't know what is in the Sun? It is hardly expensive, people don't buy because of the price, people who don't buy it don't want to read it so why waste so much paper and effort and energy giving away free copies when it is already the most well known newspaper in the country, and everyone knows what it stands for.

The sad truth of it is they probably made a killing in advertising, that Sky Advert on the front page being delivered to 20 million houses probably covered the printing costs alone.

Meh, Murdoch owns both Sky and The Sun does he not?

Fair point, but I'm pretty sure all advertising sold in that issue was sold at an absolute premium.

Yeah, essentially to himself and probably in such a way that makes RM (Hey! Royal Mail/Rupert Murdoch.... hmmmmm...) even richer.

He doesn't have a controlling stake in Sky.  It looked like he was going to get one but News International withdrew the bid shortly after the phone hacking scandal broke -  a lucky escape.

No Steve Coogan, Hugh Grant or JK Rowling on that Sun cover - no surprises there.  Would have added Charlotte Church to that list but then remembered she's Welsh

Can be vry sure that they made a tidy sum off the advertising in it... being able to guarantee reaching 20 million homes would have the hipsters in the ad agencies drooling into their beards.
