Belgium v USA

Belgium are a really unlikeable side. They've got a bit of talent and a lot of egos. They don't play as a team, Hazard has been trying to do everything himself all tournament and Lukaku wasn't trying in his first two games then comes on to take the glory in extra time when everyone else is knackered. They're mostly boring to watch and overrated.

The US are the complete opposite but just didn't have the quality to beat them. Shame, really, but at least we've had a good game tonight.

What an extra time that was.

I feel really, really sorry for the USA. I got to know all of their players after supporting them in the group stages.

I feel more disappointed for the USA now than I did for England.

Best Extra Time ever?

Well done USA, lost the match but showed the country in a great light in front of the World.

USA again playing with their hearts on their sleeves, they have amazing never die attitude, they should be proud of their performance. Of course their was a lot of tired legs as extra time progressed, but especially in the first 90 minutes, their back five were immense, Howard, Yedlin, Gonzalez, Besler & Beasley were outstanding. They could of done with keeping the ball better in midfield, Cameron & Bradley were very wasteful at times, while Zusi was just useless. All in all though, I've really enjoyed watching this USA side, as Kitch alluded to, they are the opposite of Belgium, a very likeable side.

Wouldn't mind Leicester taking a look at Yedlin, Besler & Green

I want to be gutted for the USA, but Belgium are my sweepstake team. ..

Good game though!

Should/could have been 6-nil if not for a career-defining match for Tim Howard. I almost wish it were a drubbing rather than to have weathered the storm and come up just short (Wondo's miss will haunt him to his grave). And given typical MLS transfer fees, DeAndre Yedlin will be a steal...

Jermaine Jones has really impressed me, great motor and always looking to attack.

Really?

I thought last night especially he was terrible, wasted so many good chances for the US!

I didn't catch much last night tbh, first 20 minutes was boring so I only ended up seeing extra time.

I've not paid that much attention to him, he may lack quality but he's just caught my eye as someone who's always involved whenever they're playing.

Being half American I rooted for the USA, last night and we played really well and were unlucky not to win. DeAndre Yedlin was class last night and was MOM for me and I'd love to see us try to sign him.

I am very proud as an American for our efforts this tournament. I have read several comments that say how can two losses, a draw, and a win be considered good, but I feel that it was. Tim Howard showed he in the top five gk's in the world in my opinion and young players like Yedlin and Besler shined too. The future looks bright under Klinsmann and I hope he is around for Russia 2018 (I am saving my money now lol). I agree that Besler or Yedlin would be good pickups. But to be honest I wish they stick around in the MLS to get a few more years of seasoning before they make the leap to Europe. I also appreciate the support by non-americans on this board as I have looked at others for curiosity and to say they are not fans of the U.S. would be a vast understatement. Good luck to both England and the U.S. going forward.
