And soccerroo I have met Australian people before and shock horror they didn't like soccer they liked rugby (another english sport, you're welcome) I use to play five aside with a Australian ( technically he was from New Zealand) and he didn't like football. He just played to keep fit ! This isn't a wind up either but I find Aussies the most racist nation in the world. That include social media and in person. They think all Indians are Muslims and were telling me how they hated south east Asian immigrant's coming in their country.

So we are all racist and don't like football because of the couple of blokes you meet and one of them was a New Zealander lol

I'm entitled to my opinion and honestly that's my opinion on aussies. I've never met a more openly racist nation but back to football anyway.

Socceroo why in the last ten year's has football become so popular down under ? I mean one world cup appearance before 2006 and I know Terry Venables came close before but why all of a sudden are Aussies footy mad ?

So its another stereotype. I'm not going to say there isn't racism in Australia just like there is in England, America and well every country I've ever been to but like most it's a small minority.

It's always been popular here and one of the most participated sports nationally. The last 10 years yes popularity has increased but that's only natural when you qualify for 3 successive world cups and play regularly instead of just 1 or 2 friendlies a year. A revamped league with new teams that aren't ethnic based teams so you aren't risking your life to go to a game. Every Australian, A-league, EPL game on live TV, plus weekly live games from Germany, Italy, France, Spain, MLS and the championship plus the odd league 1, 2 and conference (on setanta ). Now it is the most participated sport Nationalally (participated not necessarily the most popular).

When was the last time Forest were in the Champions League?

When was the last time England were in the World Cup?

lollollollollol - Latvia were at Euro 2004, more recently than Belgium. So Latvia are better than Belgium?

Belgium are hardly a world force are they ? They're basically a decent team on paper who found it tough in a easy group and beat the mighty USA (cough) and didn't do nothing against a poor Argentina. Their team on paper isn't even beter then England's tbf.

I'd argue it is - they have at least two truly world class players (Hazard and Kompany) to our none, and a hell of a squad to play round them. When their strikers have more experience they'll be a force.

Makes me laugh, because when England have suffered from injuries. You would come out with drivel like it's a squad game.

We were missing Chamberlain and Walcott, who would of made a huge difference but remember that's just clutching at straws.

C-man made a point that Belgium have two world class players and we don't (Hazard and Kompany)

POTM replied by posting a video of the highlights of our win over them.

Prussian pointed out Kompany didn't play.

At no point did he say the win didn't count.

The desperation from some on here to try and fool others that we're some top side has reached a new level lately. It was embarrassing enough pre world cup but how people continue to delude themselves after watching us is beyond me. Open your ****ing eyes. We've slipped. We're falling behind teams we'd have beaten ten years ago and it'll continue happening with this utterly useless FA. You'll probably still kid yourselves though.
