You cannot compare it to club football.

When was the last time Forest were in the Champions League?

When was the last time England were in the World Cup?

Nottingham Forest never competed in the Champions League.

And as for the last bit, you ought to ask yourself: When was the last time England did well at a World Cup?

Remind me how many times they have got to the quarter-finals compared to England?

So, reaching the quarter-finals is an achievement for England?

No matter how you look at it and how you try to twist and turn your poor argumentation, England have still won only one World Cup.

They did not "not take it seriously", it was shunned upon competing with other nations outside of Great Britain in the 30ies. A certain amount of arrogance played into it.

And there is no proof England would've won the first three World Cup competitions, either.

You can't use that as an argument it's pathetic and not nescc true.

To be honest discussing any World cup prior to 1990 is pathetic modern day football is very different.

I'm not going to pretend I've not had to look this up but Wales beat us home and away in the 1930's, so by that logic, they'd be 3 times world cup champions. We beat Spain in 2011? Does that make us 2010 World Cup Champions as well?

We lost to half of Europe during the 30's ffs.

We probably would have won the World Cup in the 1930s if we had entered.

ffs, We beat Spain in a friendly at home when they were World Champions yet we were wank in South Africa. Lets just forget we lost to Scotland two games down the line, it's all utter tosh, it means nothing, we didn't enter, we didn't win, end of story. You cannot declare we are 4 times world cup winners because we won a few friendlies in the 30's, there was one point around 1936 where we lost 5 out of six games (two to Wales) and didn't win for nearly one calander year, you cannot decree that this team would of, without any doubt, won anything, it's ridiculous lol.

What fcking bearing 1930's football has to do with what is supposed to be being discussed anyway I don't know lol. The point is countries like the USA and Australia are CATCHING UP lol.

Football is mainly a game of who can mould the better team, not who has more star players on their team sheet.

Doesn't matter apparently. As long as you throw together the best individuals then you're bound to succeed. Maybe even if you play Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic & Falcao we'll you'd outscore everyone.

England don't play as a team. How good we are as individuals doesn't matter if we can't play as a team. We didn't, USA could, Algeria could, Costa Rica could.

But it's alright though because we have the supposed best individuals. As if that doesn't make our woeful world cup campaign seem any more embarrassing.
