isaidno Posted 18 March 2015 Posted 18 March 2015 Anyone follow conference football? Who do you think will win the league. I have a large bet that needs a team in conference to come in!!!!! I follow Lincoln City, been to a few games home and away this season. It's really close for automatic promotion this season. I would go for Bristol Rovers , Barnet have let a large lead go.
Leicesterpool Posted 27 March 2015 Author Posted 27 March 2015 Well with no Leicester game on I'm off down to the Boro tomorrow, their facing Halifax at home in another crucial game for the fight for survival continues. Boro have done really well recently there unbeaten in seven and haven't conceded in altogether nine hours of football! not bad for a team in the bottom four.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 March 2015 Posted 28 March 2015 oooh Northwood?! been nice knowin ya Si CLASSIC
Northants Fox 3 Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 North Ferriby United have just won The FA Trophy Beating Wrexham 5 - 4 on Penalties after a 3 - 3 draw Well Done North Ferriby
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 I went to see Concord Rangers v Ebbsfleet United in Conference South yesterday, and to be brutally honest, it was a bit crap. Concord won 1-0 though, going fifteen unbeaten, which is a great record for a club that were in the Essex Senior League in 2008.
Leicesterpool Posted 29 March 2015 Author Posted 29 March 2015 North Ferriby United have just won The FA Trophy Beating Wrexham 5 - 4 on Penalties after a 3 - 3 draw Well Done North Ferriby Really entertaining game, Wrexham though gave away a 2-0 lead.
purpleronnie Posted 29 March 2015 Posted 29 March 2015 North Ferriby United have just won The FA Trophy Beating Wrexham 5 - 4 on Penalties after a 3 - 3 draw Well Done North Ferriby Feck them, money bag club funded by Dull city versus a fan owned club. Wanted Wrexham to win.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 April 2015 Posted 11 April 2015 Boston making playoffs come on the Pilgrims
Leicesterpool Posted 12 April 2015 Author Posted 12 April 2015 Boro likely already down, got a points deduction the other day plus they lost again on Monday and yesterday and that looks like it. On reflection they probably deserve it between August and February they were utter crap, we looked so out of place in there conference. When they managed to get an eight game unbeaten run, playing some good football and keeping a seven hour without conceding. Sadly left that too late, going to be difficult next season, alot of big teams in the conference north going to be down there.
isaidno Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Lincoln on BT sport on Saturday lunch time against Eastleigh
Rasmic123 Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 FC United's new ground: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/exclusive-fc-uniteds-new-ground-9057296 No doubt a success story getting the ground but those wooden planks on the front of the stadium look so tacky and bad. Just means that whatever success they have, they're always going to be labelled tinpot because of the ground
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 FC United's new ground: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/exclusive-fc-uniteds-new-ground-9057296 No doubt a success story getting the ground but those wooden planks on the front of the stadium look so tacky and bad. Just means that whatever success they have, they're always going to be labelled tinpot because of the ground They don't really look that bad, doesn't look like a football stadium from the outside, mind.
Voll Blau Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 FC United's new ground: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/exclusive-fc-uniteds-new-ground-9057296 No doubt a success story getting the ground but those wooden planks on the front of the stadium look so tacky and bad. Just means that whatever success they have, they're always going to be labelled tinpot because of the ground That's your definition of tinpot? FC United are probably the least tinpot football club in the country.
purpleronnie Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 FC United's new ground: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/exclusive-fc-uniteds-new-ground-9057296 No doubt a success story getting the ground but those wooden planks on the front of the stadium look so tacky and bad. Just means that whatever success they have, they're always going to be labelled tinpot because of the ground I wonder if people who use that awful phrase actually understand the meaning behind it?. Here we have a multi million pound non league stadium financed by the fans themselves who achieve attendances higher than some league clubs. Tin pot they ain't.
Voll Blau Posted 16 April 2015 Posted 16 April 2015 It's a decent stadium for them TBH, and you have to admire the ethics and achievement behind the club......BUT, that godawful, covoluted name; 'FC United of Manchester'.....FFS, who dreamt that up, some local pisshead or did they hold a compo at a local pre-school??. Grates on me every time I hear it, surely, even in Manchester, there's someone with a better alternative idea!! After the name "F.C. United" was rejected by The Football Association for being too generic, all those who had pledged money to the club were asked to vote on a name.[5] On 14 June 2005, it was announced that "F.C. United of Manchester" had been chosen, beating "A.F.C. Manchester 1878", "Manchester Central" and "Newton Heath United". Think most of them just refer to the club as "FC United" in all honesty.
