Brizzle Fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Went to Forest Green Rovers vs Bristol Rovers today. Rubbish 1-1 draw in awful conditions. Lee Hughes and Jon Parkin up front for FGR. Record attendance at the New Lawn of just under 4k. BR brought just under 2k with them. Seats were double booked so ended up sitting literally next to the home dugout. Very unusual!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Eastleigh came from behind to beat Welling 3-1, James Constable brace. 10 points from a possible 15, great start for a newly promoted side.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 August 2014 Author Posted 30 August 2014 Boro get there first win and goal of the season today against Altrincham in a 2-1 win. Much more improved performance compared to our other five games, prior to the first goal the team really did lack confidence once boro scored the first the team looked alot more relaxed and energetic. A bit of dodgy ref got to say kicked a couple of minutes before three along with that he blow the whistle a minute too early aswell at half time, Altrincham's goal also looked a mile offside. What was the Hinckley score can't find it anywhere?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Boston are third in the Conf North. Must make playoffs this season
Leicesterpool Posted 5 September 2014 Author Posted 5 September 2014 Non league day tomorrow, anyone planning on going to one? I was going to see Crewe vs Notts County but it's changed to the 30th September, so decided to go to Tamworth v Chorley instead. Shame the boro are playing all the way down in Torquay.
RedHux Posted 6 September 2014 Posted 6 September 2014 Just returned from Loughborough dynamo tonking Sheffield FC 4-1 and that after having a chap sent off about 5minutes into the second half.Splendid stuff.
Leicesterpool Posted 6 September 2014 Author Posted 6 September 2014 Boro lose 0-4 again at Torquay That Brian Reid there as got to go, promised attacking football but all that's going on is Boro are playing boring sit back defensive football with a defence that can't defend! Anyway didn't go down Torquay, went up the road to Tamworth, which finished 0-3 to Chorley. With Tamworth playing most of the match with nine men, two straight reds were given out nasty fouls from Tamworth and no complaints from the Tamworth fans only for their own players. Tamworth to be fair didn't create much but Chorley didn't look that great either just showed how appalling Tamworth were. Stood right behind the Chorley dugout which was fun, a bit of funny banter between them and the Tamworth fans. Which you'll see on my video when i've made it. Any result on Hinckley?
Basingstoke Fox Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 Basingstoke Town appear to have overcome the disappointment of missing out on Ronaldinho to battle to a 3-2 victory away at Bishops Stortford. Puts them top of the league, if only temporarily. First time I've ever seen Basingstoke do that! It'd be nice if they could maintain their decent start this year rather than fall into obscurity like they usually do.
Lionator Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 Shepshed Dynamo winning 4-0 after 66 minutes. Lost 5-4.
Finnaldo Posted 7 September 2014 Posted 7 September 2014 Hinckley lost 2-1 to Tipton Town 'pool. Not been a great run of results recently and the captain was out with an injury last game. Sure things will pick up soon
Leicesterpool Posted 8 September 2014 Author Posted 8 September 2014 Boro fans turned up tonight for a football forum for a question and answer with the manager Brian Reid, only to be told it had been cancelled because manager as been sacked! Good news for the boro
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Seven games and that guy got the chop - hope he gets a new job soon and some cash otherwise there'll be none eatin' in his house anytime soon tehehehehe
filbertway Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Away to Belper in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying round this weekend. Early doors into Belper to catch the Arsenal v Man City game then hopefully watch Coalville get into the next round! I do love train away days!

Sounds like a nice day out I'm going to go see Boro play Aldershot on saturday following there 1-0 win against Forest Green last night. There's rumours at the boro that former Man City and Blackburn Rovers player Gary Flitcroft is interested in the job. Plus Paul Peschisolido is also been linked.

Corky Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 He headbutted me for no reason once! You probably said something outrageous like Charlton are a bigger club than Dover or something like that.
Lamby Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 You probably said something outrageous like Charlton are a bigger club than Dover or something like that. He was a glory hunter. He still has the "I'm a knob" look and walk about him still

isaidno Posted 14 September 2014 Posted 14 September 2014 Went to watch Lincoln vs Bristol Rovers yesterday . Rovers were 2-0 up after 20 minutes , Lincoln pulled it back to 2-2 at half time. Rovers missed an 88th minute penalty , then scored a 90th minute winner. Good match
