theessexfox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Kasper De Laet Wes Was Schlupp Mahrez James Drinky Albrighton Nugent Ulloa
Carlos88LCFC Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 If you are trying to pick the team you think will play, not WANT to play then anyone leaving out Kasper, De Laet, Morgan, Drinkwater, James and Nugent is a bellend! I agree now.
theessexfox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 I agree now.You wouldn't have Nugent after the pre-season he's had?
benpicko Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Kasper De Laet Wes Was Schlupp Mahrez James Drinky Albrighton Nugent Ulloa Won't be playing this week
benpicko Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 You wouldn't have Nugent after the pre-season he's had? And you wouldn't pick Knockaert after the one he's had, if we're going to ignore injuries as you did with Albrighton
indierich06 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Kasper De Laet - Morgan - Moore - Konchesky/Schlupp James - Drinks Riyad - King - Schlupp/Albrighton Ulloa OR Kasper De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Konch/Schlupp Riyad - James - Drinks - Schlupp/Albrighton Nugent Ulloa
Carlos88LCFC Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 You wouldn't have Nugent after the pre-season he's had? tbh I've not had the luxury of watching the games or listening to the radio so I'm not too sure how he preformed 22 July Ilkeston 1-6 Leicester City (Morgan, Wood, Nugent 2, Hopper, Wilson og) 27 July Everton 0-1 Leicester City (Taylor-Fletcher) 30 July Walsall 2-3 Leicester City (Morgan, Grimes, Drinkwater) 2 August Preston North End 1-1 Leicester City (Moore) 4 August Milton Keynes Dons 0-2 Leicester City (Nugent, Pearson) 5 August Rotherham United 1-3 Leicester City (Ulloa 2, Drinkwater) 9 August Leicester City 1-0 Werder Bremen (Morgan) Doesn't seem too impressive to me though? If we get Deeney in time I'd stick him straight in, alongside Vardy if fit then Nugent/Ulloa if not. ------------------Kasper-------------------- De Laet - Moore - Morgan - Schlupp ---------Drinkwater - James-------------- ---------------------- King--------------------- ----Mahrez - Deeney/Ulloa - Vardy/Nugent Shame about Albrighton & Knocky injured as 442 would of been a better option. Still think King is highly underrated by most on here... When he gets to sit infront of a 3 man midfield hes dangerous.
theessexfox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 Where has Albrighton been confirmed to be out? From what id read he seemed more likely than Knockaert. By all accounts Nugent has been our best player in pre season.
Bamba's Babes Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 With Deeney on his way and Nugent only getting 2 years, it's a clear message that Nugent won't be playing a big part this year.

Simo86 Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 With Deeney on his way and Nugent only getting 2 years, it's a clear message that Nugent won't be playing a big part this year. Good logic there...........
Taz_The_Fox Posted 13 August 2014 Posted 13 August 2014 I think with the injuries we have its going to be interesting to see what he goes with. Kasper RDL Moore Morgan Konch Drinky James Mahrez Albrighton/Schlupp Nugent Ulloa I think we need to start with two strikers otherwise I can see Nugent or Ulloa getting isolated up top, but Nugent will have to drop into the midfield when we don't have the ball and press their defenders.
Dickov22 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Kasper De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Mahrez Drinkwater Vardy James Ulloa Nugent 4-5-1
kingcarr21 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 There are plenty of threads this could of gone in but my main question is 4-5-1 with Ulloa Vardy and Nugent in the team. How are you setting this up? Or do you mean 4-2-3-1?
Dickov22 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 There are plenty of threads this could of gone in but my main question is 4-5-1 with Ulloa Vardy and Nugent in the team. How are you setting this up? Or do you mean 4-2-3-1? Yes, I think a back 4 that will include Konchesky because defensively he is stronger than Schlupp. I also think if Vardy is fit he plays but maybe I'm being optimistic on that one. I can't see us going 4-4-2 as we only have one natural winger fit. So Back 4 Drinkwater and James Mahrez Nugent Vardy Ulloa If Vardy doesn't make it I think we will play Kingy Either way, we're going to lack width. Pearson played a similar formation when we had Vardy Kane and Nugent all in the same 11 and it never really worked for me.
kingcarr21 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 God i hope we dont get anymore injuries. Really want Vardy to play as i believe he will shine in the prem.
Dickov22 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 God i hope we dont get anymore injuries. Really want Vardy to play as i believe he will shine in the prem. I think he could get into an England squad
kingcarr21 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 I think he could get into an England squad If you check my profile i asked the question last year when he would get an England call up. Now is as good a time as any to make a name for yourself in the prem and get into contention. Alot of people saying Ings may force his way into contention. Lambert did it in a couple of seasons so no reason why we cant see Vardy or even Nugent make a statement (not very likely but hey stranger things have happened)

He's just got to stay clear of injuries and carry on from last season. Nugent has as much chance as Martyn Waghorn of getting in an England squad. I really can't see Nuge making our strongest 11 when everyone is fit. I like him, but I'm not sure he's good enough for this level.

Carlos88LCFC Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Nuge scored a worldie away at Walsall so you have got that wrong! So he did... Sorry, just got that off of a website. If Vardys/Knocky/Albrighton are unfit then I'd put Nugent outwide... It's good to have all these options but disappointing the majority are injured!
foxfan92 Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Knowing now that vardy and albrighton are set to miss out but knockaert might make it my starting 11 would be:- Kasper De Laet Moore Morgan Schlupp Drinkwater James Nugent Knockaert Mahrez Ulloa
Father Ted Posted 14 August 2014 Posted 14 August 2014 Depends on who is out injured but going on Vardy and Knockaert both being fit... Schmeichel De Laet - Morgan - Wasilewski - Schlupp Knockaert - James - Drinkwater - Mahrez Vardy - Ulloa Subs: Hamer, Moore, Hammond, King, Albrighton, Nugent, Wood. Biggest dilemma Pearson has for me is how to deal with Lukaku. For me Wasyl just edges it over more, I think Wasyl has a lot more guile and experience is dealing with taller, stronger strikers. Allow Wasyl to attack everything into Lukaku and Wes can sweep in behind because Everton will play 4-2-3-1/4-5-1 no doubt and I can see Lukaku being left isolated at times. Please no Konchesky.
