MooseBreath Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 What are you talking about? By the way a lot of "wealth" has been generated by raping the earth - the earth that doesn't belong to any single person or corporation. If the price of abusing the earth was taken into account instead of ignored then profits wouldn't be profits anymore. Still other people pay for our use of the earth. Guest Bilo Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 I've been looking at the effect of social media on the voting habits of young people for my A Level Media group on Monday, including the odd Ed Miliband fangirls of recent weeks, and came across this absolute pearler! Honestly one of the most hilariously disturbing things I've ever read. https://zaubra.dreamwidth.org/12839.html#cutid1 WARNING: In absolutely no way is this SFW. Not even a little bit.
Stadt Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 I couldn't read it, I felt a bit ill after the second paragraph

Best thing I've read in ages. Ed's fingers are nimble. David is destroyed.
Rincewind Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Has anyone seen this? I've not seen it mentioned. It was when David Cameron was on Andrew Marr last Sunday. I've not seen any posts regarding this bit. https://www.change.org/p/david-cameron-hold-an-inquiry-into-benefit-sanctions-that-killed-my-brother/u/10593981?tk=65BcwLVn2EN4-7MZXDmcl8CbLvYBwgWj-zbssl3xJRQ&utm_source=petition_update&utm_medium=email Off out now.

The Doctor Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32463038 "speechwriter error" - is Cameron Ron Burgundy?

Every time It was when David Cameron was on Andrew Marr last Sunday I'v e not posted it before as I was waiting for others to post it. I have see posts where he was saying how wonderful everything was but nothing about where he got pulled to bits.

I read it before going out. Its to do with someone who had a go at Cameron on the Andrew Marr show. I am sure someone has said they saw the programme but did not mention this section. I do not post many links now as they are all dismissed if not favourable to the Tories but we are inugated with links where DC is smiling in his usual way and telling us how wonderful things are. Just thought there should be more balance.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Keep posting the links, Ken - we're not all Tories. I don't think it makes you a Tory to describe Ken's rather idiosyncratic posting style.
Buce Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 I don't think it makes you a Tory to describe Ken's rather idiosyncratic posting style. No, but he said he doesn't post many now 'because they are dismissed as not being favourable to the Tories..'.That's a good reason to continue, IMO.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 So, according to the BBC, an independent Political Think Tank has stated that to implement their policies, Labour will have to borrow twenty three billion pounds a year! That means one hundred and fifteen billion pounds, over a five year period. Nothing has changed, they are up to their previous tricks, and putting the country in economic chaos. which the Tories will have to clear up again, like they are having to now. What is it about Labour, that they keep having to borrow money, that they can't pay back? Joe public, will have to bail us out again, because their policies stink.

And Tories want to abolish the HRA but will not say which parts they will keep. Probably depends what other policies they have in mind then change the rules and laws to fit. I will tweet my links in future so anyone that wants to see them can follow me Waste of time here. http://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/election-2015-tories-refuse-to-say-which-human-rights-they-will-dump/

RobHawk Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Interesting Andrew Marr this morning. Boris was horrendous IMO - embarrassing the way he kept going on. Is he setting Dave up to fail so he can takeover? Positive again, from Miliband, he's campaigned so much better than I ever expected. Ruled out Working with the SNP again but I'm sure that won't be the end of it as it seems to be the only campaign strategy the Torys have at the moment. Seems more and more desperate to me though! It's fair to say, I'm on the labour side of the fence compared to the Torys, but I've been surprised by the poor and negative Tory campaign this election. I've heard better arguments for voting for them on this forum than I have from the Tory party. IMO election campaigns should be positive and more about what you will do for the country, not scaremongering about your opponent at every opportunity.

I would vote Tory but I agree, they keep saying we'll finish the job but that's not enough to attract floating voters
MooseBreath Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Record food bank use, and the rich just get richer.... http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32464402 Record number of outlets offering free food resulting in record numbers of people receiving free food shocker. Should be "well done the tories for offering poor people free food", no?
Guest Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Elections should be about the people not the policy. Vote for a good person, there are no "good" parties. No wonder voter apathy is ever increasing.

It's fooling nobody I'm afraid, it will be the only way Labour can gain power. The supply and confidence deal is coming, any Englishman or woman who votes for this is bonkers IMO. Don't let ideological hatred of the Tories blind you to this very real and very dangerous possibility.
