If we have a double election, who will most benefit? I'm tempted to think the Tories as they have the deeper pockets.

Whoever isn't in the minority government before it.

The Greens have dropped their £72 basic income idea and legalising being a member of a terrorist organisation. Well for 2015 at least

lol Didn't take long.

I don't think they are losing this dangerous lunatics tag for a while though. People have long memories.

The Lib Dems are basically relying on their incumbent MPs to have done enough as representatives of their constituency to retain their seats. I can't see a single floating voter backing them.

If you're a labour voter where the Libs have the best chance of stopping the tories you'll still vote Lib. I can't see that changing.

They'll still do a bit better than expected. They have an excellent ground game and are usually held in high regard locally. They held a by election against all odds in Eastleigh and voters aren't flocking other parties instead of them.

It's scary how well they polled in that YouGov poll that asked voting intention if you knew a party had a chance of winning. 26% said they were likely ro vote Greens if that was the case.

That was before Christmas but it's a frightening thought that there are actually so many closet Greens. Hopefully now realise their lunacy

Interesting how when UKIP get pilloried for a single policy, it's all "but you should look at their other stuff too", but when the Greens put forward a (admittedly lunatic) policy of their own, that's all anyone focuses on.

It is going to be interesting how many seats they do hold onto, and it'll have a pretty key bearing on the overall election outcome, I think.

The Greens aren't being pillored because it's a single policy, they are being pillored because of how dangerous it is.

They actually wanted to legalise membership of ISIS. Just actually think about that.

Nothing Ukip has ever done comes close to being as vile as that.

No disagreement, but it is still only one policy - which they have now rightly withdrawn because it is suicidally stupid.

Just don't like the double standard.

In any case, their pursuance of crackpot homeopathic crap at the expense of actual legitimate science (nuclear fusion, space exploration) means I wouldn't vote for them on that alone.

The thing with the Greens is they were a party that people were voting for based on policy. UKIP is more the Nigel Farage cult of personality party than anything else. It's a one man band. Maybe it just shows that the left is not quite so daft as the right?

Its almost like voters want their political parties to have a brain in the first place, not drop things when the sensible people point out their stupidity.  Crazy stuff.

The main problem is she passionately defended this policy - it's only been dropped because of public outrage towards it.

Populism has a lot to answer for, I agree.

Doubly stupid, then.

What? So are you the exception to the rule then?

I just thought that was a wind up by ADK.

I think it's pretty clear UKIP are receiving votes on the back of a tough stance on the EU and immigration.

I'd be interested to know what specific policy Green voters are voting on. Disband the army? Let's defeat ISIS with hugs? Ban teeth?

Not surprised that the greens have backed away from the active promotion of home grown terrorism, but I'm shocked they've withdrawn citizen's income. Sheer lunacy though it was, as their flagship economic policy I would have thought they would've had a bit more faith in it. Doesn't say much for the robustness of the rest of their policies.

I didn't think they could get much more whacky but u-turning all over the place under the slightest pressure hints at some serious instability and chaos behind the scenes, a total mess. The whole party could do with being sectioned by the looks of it.

Not good for the Tories though moose, the voters will flock too ed :(

Well maybe not flock as there weren't that many in the first place but could be significant.

They have been absolutely found wanting on the back of one ten minute Andrew Neil interview, no wonder Brighton Pavillion is in absolute chaos, it will be interesting to see if they've managed to import enough metrosexual hippies from London to the area to keep that seat in May.

It's a tough call, you don't want Ed picking up votes but for the sake of the country the Green party can't be allowed anywhere near power, we can't turn a blind eye to such dangerous parties.

Big protest planned outside tonight by the Jewish community against the appearance of an anti-semitic racist being allowed to appear on the show.

Not Nick Griffin btw, George Galloway.

How this cretin still manages to get airtime is beyond belief.

He's am elected respresentative so I have no problem with him being invited to Question Time.

I'm astonished how he's managed to get away without being prosecuted though for some of things he's been caught saying on camera, the recent Bradford is a Jew free zone surely wouldn't have been tolerated had it been a BNP politician talking about Muslims.

I can't help but like him though, he's brilliant to listen to in the same way the Salmond's, Farage's, Murray's and Starkey's from all sides of the political spectrum are are brilliant to listen to, you also get the feeling they are actually telling you what they think unlike 95% of others.
