Fox92 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Why do people say "Nige has to take responsibility". Of course he does, he's the manager, and he has never said anything different.
CPW22 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Can't out pass West Brom at home, so we put on 3 6ft+ strikers and resort to aimless hoofball. That works in League One, and occasionally in the Championship. But it'll not work at this level. Lescott and Macaulay are highly experienced players and thy didn't have to break sweat. We've not looked like scoring for ages because we're utterly clueless and totally lacking in confidence. Sorry Nige. But this bad run is down to you. Sort this out before you lose your job and our Premier League status. I can't take your post seriously given you watched for 90 minutes and can't even name their centre backs correctly.
harmoye Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Pearson is chronically AWFUL ! Listen Thai owners, your dream is snuffed unless you get rid of Pearson and get a Premiership manager in, and now !!!
jmono84 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Nige has to take some responsibility for today. More tinkering and 4 central midfielders was bewildering from the start to be honest. There's no flow, rhythm when there's a lack of consistency in the line-up. This isn't a call for him to be sacked (obviously before anyone states so), but if you're gonna have Wood and Ulloa on the pitch at the same time, you need to give them crosses to feed off. Therefore play some wingers and get some width on the pitch. Once again, Ulloa was pinging balls in to the box when he should be on the receiving end. It seems only Ulloa can put a decent cross in!! I still believe pearson will sort this out, would love to see schluup for konch and knocky on subs bench at least

Frustrates me he should be on the end of them as well as providing them!
fuchsntf Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 We are expecting too much, from 'present'squad we automatically believe, just because we had a great season and ran awaywith the Championship, our manager and players are good enough to hold their own in the PL. This we wont know until EOS. . We had result wise an excellent 1st 5 games. Now we have had a run of last 5 games with poor results, something must of changed, say some.I dont think much has changed performance wise with the exception of Swansea, where we were non exsistent, as a football team. Non of our performances has given us more than 20 minutes in any game, where we have shown we belong. We have not yet earned the right in any game to say, we are PL material. We have had nice results thats all. We have been able this weekend for the first time ONLY, played DD and James together. We started out with injuries to our star performers from last season, where Vardy Drinkwater, aggrevated them again. Forget Pearson for a minute, the players chosen, no matter how they set up are responsible, to give or present some type of Individual performance.Sofar I cant think of one player who has shown any consistency over 2 games. Maybe Ulloa, his 1st 6 games he did what he gets paid for and scored 5 goals. Players have pleasantly suprised us, but no consistent performance. Pearson accused of swapping and changing the team, he has tried I am sure to slowly re-introduce our so called top players, and bed down the new experienced players, in these 10 games.Obviously that brings difficulties then in trying to find a settled team, with a good bench, plus needing time to discover your better formations, with trusted form players. Sofar the guys who have gone over the whitewash, have not yet looked like being able to give Pearson a riches of choice Headache thanks to any decent consistent performance, on the matchday nor probably in training. Yes if we held out against Burnley, Newcastle, and WBA, would have gave us a min. of 4pts extra. > 13pts < top 12....That would just be painting over the cracks, and hiding early season below avg expectant performances. This post I am not using to criticise any fans , Pearson,or Players.I am observing and noting the problems we have. WE fans should expect at least some quality performances, and start to see Pearson and players to create shape of the matchday team chosen. I believe it is too early to question if we are good enough, individually or has a squad, we are going through a 1st time learning curve.Everyweek we go through posts questioning the individual players abilities to compete at PL level. Being an optimist and trying to be a positive fan, every single player and manager deserves the right to be given 1-2 seasons to prove his credentials at the next higher level.Football history is full of examples of quick but short-successfull players careers at top level, including late developers. Of course its frustrating, but each individual city fan is still only hoping and dreaming his chosen heroes are upto it to reach that high standard of being called a PL valued player, but they need time and the chance, 10 games aint the measuring stick. Yes it hurts after a great start result wise, to see manager and squad struggling, be critical !!!, but dont go over the top be patient, after the 1/2 way stage, it would be more pertinant to remark if we can earn and achieve the right to be at this level. It took 10yrs of misery, dont let 2 months turn you into a miseryguts and pessimistic towards the future. Lets say the negative posts prove to be correct, IMO it would be for the wrong reasons.Enjoy our fight to prove ourselves, its part of being a football fan, unlike many who have secured over 1-6 seasons their PL status, Leicester and yes even QPR, also Burnley after earning and getting promotion deserve some leeway from their fans, so early in the season.
inckley fox Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I have to laugh at you morons saying Pearson should go! Take a step back and have a look in........we're still out of the relegation places and the season is only a 1/4 of the way through. In football you can as easily come out of bad run into a good run and vice versa, which is what has happened to us. Give it time............I must admit if we are still this bad come January then the owners have a decision to make, but be careful what you wish for............Is there a manager out there that is better for this club at present? Me personally I'd stick with the Nigel, and maybe give him some extra funds come Jan. For me it all depends on what happens next as to whether we stick with him or not, but 'next' for me is a lot sooner than January. If this run continues over the following month we will already be cut adrift, and there's a lot to be said for giving a new manager time to assess his squad before a full transfer window. But he needs the chance to turn it around over the next few games. I honestly believe he will, though he might need a turn of good fortune on the way. If he doesn't, then there will be a very strong argument for the club considering its options.
Bluefoxtim Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Pearson God, Vardy and Moore for England just 2 months ago fickle bitch
lgfualol Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Pearson God, Vardy and Moore for England just 2 months ago fickle bitch The amount of shit I posted on forums saying people should never have underestimated us/we'll prove the doubters wrong. Now it's the opposite.
StanSP Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Pearson God, Vardy and Moore for England just 2 months ago fickle bitch I don't think anyone was seriously saying they should play for England.
MooseBreath Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Lets face facts. If it starts to look like he isn't able, he'll be sacked... the Thais sure as hell won't wait to find out. I think after the Sunderland game we will either be celebrating the rebirth of our season or waving goodbye to one of our most successful managers. Based on the fact that the owners stuck with him throughout a sustained dreadful run of form 18 months ago, when lots of fans were genuinely calling for his head, I don't know why you're assuming they'll be that trigger happy. I reckon the thais will defy conventional foreign owner stereotypes and stick with Pearson even if we get relegated. I hope they do, too. There will be a shitstorm among the fans if things carry on like this for much longer but I think the owners will maintain the proper perspective.

Corky Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 It's remarkable how in 18 months Nige has gone from his predictable, rigid 4-4-2 formation to throwing out any random line-up made up of different players in any number of positions.

And 18 months ago they wanted him out because he isn't flexible enough with his tactics. Foxes Talk sure is fun.
