Guest ttfn Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 If the owners aren't sounding him out right now (and presumably being told to do one) then I'd be a bit concerned. He's easily the most eligible out of work manager for this job. Way, way, way, way ahead of Pulis etc but likely to be off the market very soon. As I keep coming back to, I don't want Pearson gone but we need to be prepared for the eventuality that the insanity which appears to have crept into his head over the last couple of months is permanent and not temporary. Given that we've already lost 15% of the season playing shit football and not even trying to win we would need to have somebody ready to hit the ground running if Pearson was to go.
Tuna Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Moyes would not come here. If he failed here, he'd be finished. He'd want a safer option.
Monsell1976 Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Moyes would be a good replacement, done a good job at Everton, with a smaller budget than the top clubs, and finished high up the table, then went Man U and was sacked with a 52 percent win rate, which would be great here, but the club he was at, wasn't good enough. If Pearson was to go, he would be my choice as replacement, think he would suit our size club and budget, but sadly don't think he would come, but stranger things have happened, and may fancy a chance to get back into football and put the Man U nightmare behind him.
hesapeepingtom Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Yeah, he was on £77k a week at Everton, then probably more at Man United. Why would he want to join a relegation battle for much less wages? cause cheggers cant be boozers! or something like that!
Monsell1976 Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Moyes doesn't look an option, sky reporting he is due to be announced as real sociedad new coach
Happy Fox Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Moyes doesn't look an option, sky reporting he is due to be announced as real sociedad new coach http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/david-moyes-expected-tell-real-4593909 Apparently he will tell them on Monday if he wants bucking job, if he doesn't take it I would be intrigued to see where he is off too...

Would be interesting, still a top manager, and will do a good job wherever he goes, just doesn't look comfortable right at the top.
kingfox Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Remi Garde...for all you Knockaert lovers, appoint him then little Anthony could well be featuring.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Moyes would be ok if Pearson goes, but there is no way he would come to a side that is nose diving out of the Premiership Give Pearson a longer chance to turn things round, but if the next three or four results are in the current vein, then I can envisage him going.
Sir Fynwy Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 Best we could get is Tim Sherwood, no way we should sack Nigel without a decent replacement
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 We're a bit of good form away from the top half of the table, it's way too early to think about swapping out the manager. But this good form that could take us up the league doesn't look like it's coming any time soon.
ElusiveEd Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 I'd give NP a little more time to turn things round but I see us in such a dire way right now I'd be surprised if he could. The Thais seem quite honourable and loyal and stuck with him last year when people were calling for his head, but I just can't see him pulling us out of this in the same way he did in the Championship. (Or even close to the way he did). Should he walk or be sacked (Who walks voluntarily these days?) I'd also like to see Tim Sherwood given a chance with us. Always rated him and I think this club would be more suited to him rather than Moyes and vice-versa.
Tielemans63 Posted 9 November 2014 Posted 9 November 2014 You're having a ****ing laugh if you think Moyes would be interested in the Leicester job. A job that isn't even available right now.
davieG Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Former Manchester United boss Moyes was confirmed as the new man in charge of the La Liga side this morning. And Spanish paper AS are reporting that ex-Liverpool, Coventry and Leeds man McAllister will join former Everton and United utility man Neville on the continent. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/409749/David-Moyes-Phil-Neville-Gary-McAllister-Real-Sociedad
Freesolo Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 I think its a Good Job for him, gets him away from the British media and gives him a chance to re -build his reputation. If it ever comes down to NP getting sacked the Leicester Job would be a disaster for him, lets be honest a Prem relegation fight isn't what he needs lock it up
