Guest MattP Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 If this is called off im going to be livid. Had £15 on Ghana to score 3 or more at 4/1 Not a good bet really, African side losing that badly at home meant a serious chance it wouldn't finish. Apparently the delay is now because Guinea fans waiting outside to ambush Ghanians, police now trying to sneak 2,000 fans down the tunnel and out the other way.
Guest MattP Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Players being asked to clear bottles off the pitch. You might still win your bet here.
StanSP Posted 5 February 2015 Author Posted 5 February 2015 If this is called off im going to be livid. Had £15 on Ghana to score 3 or more at 4/1 Result (and therefore bet) should still stand even if match is abandoned as more than 3/4 of the game has been played.
Benguin Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 F£&k being a Ghana fan now! Shi&s gonna go down!
Guest MattP Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 What on earth is actually going on? Ready to play and now officials coming onto the pitch.
filbertway Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I've been paid and withdrew it as quickly as possible! haha. Absolute shambles. "The police have released tear gas into the stands". Love that they only had the one angle as the other camera men had to be moved as well.
Leeds Fox Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 If this is called off im going to be livid. Had £15 on Ghana to score 3 or more at 4/1Surely it'd still pay out, as it wasn't a result you were waiting on? Similarly to how a BTTS shows up as 'won' as soon after both teams have scored.Obviously my reply was hypothetical as the game was finished anyway.
Leeds Fox Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 It looked like a football game causing an inconvience to a small war. I was half expecting some gun-wielding militant to slide the helicopter door open and start firing.

I was wondering if the game had to be replayed whether it would stand. Didnt realise it was so deep into the game in the end as I had turned off when the 3rd went in haha. As you say, it was finished anyway so all is irellevent now.

Nice little winner tonight for you then mate! Yeah true, I suppose a lot of the times it comes down to the Bookies discretion, whether to pay out such a bet in those circumstances. What a farce though. I'm all for improving football around the world, however I don't see this as a great way to improve football in Africa. Of course the countries need money to develop training facilities and infrastructure, though FIFA could redistribute some of its massive wealth into countries who need it, and help them continue to grow and develop players like Drogba, the Toures, and Riyad! I know the AFCON showcases the talent you might not usually see, however, the top teams have scouts looking at the top pool of players in almost every country in the world, so these gems aren't going to be overlooked with the lack of this tournament. It just seems a risk to the players that doesn't need to happen, and one that the majority don't want to take, but may feel they have to, to avoid a further personal threat.
Ross-Kemp Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Final is currently 0-0. 7 minutes left of extra time.
One Legged Beaver Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I think the final has pretty much summarised the tournament as a whole.
Rincewind Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Poor final.I was going to have an early night and recorded the snooker to watch after.
Guest MattP Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 The keeper is down injured during the shoot out
One Legged Beaver Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Penalties have been mad, Ghana threw a two penalty lead!
Samilktray Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Probably the most entertaining penalty shoot out ive watched. Ivory Coast keeper is a character.
Samilktray Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 The Ivory Coast physio running around spraying magic spray in celebration hahaha
