Some national team players involved in Saturday's fracas following the final whistle are rumoured to be banned for up to one (!) year. And each player in that AFCON squad against Equatorial Guinea could be fined another $10'000 individually, regardless of whether they were playing or not and/or were having a go at the referee or not.

Sometimes, I wonder what world we live in when Europeans expect things to automatically work the way they're accustomed to all their life. Reminds me of good old colonialism. I wasn't referring to the standard of refereeing then, though. We were talking about the standard of play, the lack of goals and the absence of star players. The man in black for the Tunisia - Equatorial Guinea matchup was obviously either completely incompetent or bribed.

Just because they offered to host it when Morrocco pulled out? During Qualifying African Cup of Nations 2015 on the series played against Mauritania, they lost 1-0 away and won 3-0 in Malabo as hosts, sorting to the next round to face Uganda´s national team. However, the Mauritanian Football Federation demands before the CAF for the inclusion of ineligible players to play with Nzalang Nacional (Some with passports and false names), resulting in the expulsion of the Equatorial Guinean team, based on the particular situation of Thierry Fidjeu, while the cases of the other players remain under investigation.
