Pearson Nigel Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 SO NIGEL is hard as nails and takes no Sh * Te from anyone.....be that on forums or face to face........a siege mentality we Should all admire in him....... But publicly protecting your team is all well & good, but you need thesemsame players to react accordingly in a manner that befits there manager who has so far protected them. So Is Nigel HARD enough to make some real tough decisions?.........first one being getting us to Defend higher up the pitch and to do this we have to change or keeper to one who can not only do some great saves ( which our current number 1 can do) but one who can command his box mentally and physically push his defenders out side of his 6 yard box and beyond........just think of goals we have let in this season...... crosses not dealt with properly ......... Or crosses a really good premiership keeper SHOULD have come and taken So NIGEL before you ban any more goby fans......do your best......please empower others and make sure this Sunday we give our other Keeper the Bearded wonder Ben ago.......he may just be that commanding presence that this team so urgently needs ! Come Uncle Nige..........it is your destiny !
kingcarr21 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Cant believe people are making it out Hamer is the answer to all our problems. Have you forgotten his pre-season performances. He was absolute dog mess. 1 decent game against Stoke doesnt make him our saviour. He has also shown he has weaknesses aswel as strengths just like Kasper. I suppose you would be the first person to want Kasper back if Hamer didnt perform. Just get behind the team.
RedSoxUK Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Yeah.. That's not going to happen. Pearson makes Kasper captain. Kasper pulls off a few amazing saves Leicester pick up 3 points away from home. Relewhat?

kingcarr21 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Can't believe people make any kind of judgement on a player based on pre season games. I also cant believe people make any kind of judgement on a player becoming our saviour based on 1 Premier League game where he didnt have a masterclass performance. I havent made a judgement on Hamer based on his pre season. I actually like Hamer. I think hes a decent keeper after seeing him at Charlton. I was making a case that he also has weaknesses (as shown in preseason). So instead of everyone going on a witch hunt after Kasper and trying to get Hamer in goal who is just as prone to a mistake as Kasper is why not get behind the team. I wouldnt begrudge Hamer playing ahead of Kasper. My issue is everyone hounding Kasper out. The team doesnt need the fans getting on there backs they need our support more than ever
Bettsj2 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 As with Simpson, its an overreaction to suggest anyone thinks either Hamer or Simpson are our 'saviour', just simply that the players currently in those positions are underperforming and costing us points. The whole point of having options is to use them when this is the case.

I don't think it makes a difference whichever one of them is in goal because whilst we continue to defend so poorly, and play just 2 in the middle of the park we will continue to ship goals left right and centre.

I don't think it makes a difference whichever one of them is in goal because whilst we continue to defend so poorly, and play just 2 in the middle of the park we will continue to ship goals left right and centre. This is exactly my point. Our overall defending isnt upto standard so people hounding out Kasper for Hamer is just silly. For me it makes no difference which is in goal as there both probably as good as each other. I would probably say Kaspers strengths is Hamers weakness and vice versa. I can see how my original post could suggest that. Perhaps i could have worded it better. For me we should stick with Kasper and hope he can grow in confidence with some good displays. I also agree that we maybe need to start having 3 in the middle of the park. I was certainly one of the fans wanting us to go back to 4-4-2 but it looks so flat and easy to breakdown. What formation would you go with? 4-3-1-2?
Captain... Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 You are right Nigel has some big decisions to make, but you are probably wrong on what decisions he needs to make, couldn't be arsed to read them, don't really care what another know-nothing-know-it-all thinks. Nigel makes big decisions, but he makes them slowly and in a considered way, he isn't a knee jerk manager, he gives his plans time to be assessed properly, like the diamond, like Vardy and Ulloa, like 442, rather than changing everything at the first hurdle. It is going to be a long difficult season, but by the end of it, if we keep Nigel we will be much better, stronger and wiser in all departments.

What formation would you go with? 4-3-1-2? I would be really surprised if Nigel drops Kasper. Can't see it happening. Kasper will know he made a mistake, the worst thing to do would be drop him. I've been saying all season we need to play 3 in the middle, like we did at Stoke in the second half. We just never control games and leave our defence exposed time after time. If doesn't mean I advocate the diamond; for me we always need at least one natural wide player in the team. I'd go: Kasper De Laet Wasiewski Moore Schlupp Cambiasso - sitting, protecting and helping us keep the bloody ball for longer than a few seconds Drinkwater - Good player if played in his natural role, in the middle of the park James Mahrez Vardy Ulloa However, it is a huge disappointment to me that in our big chance in the Premier league, our back 4 looks like that! Championship standard.
Fox92 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 I can't see us defending higher up the pitch on Sunday when Agbonlahor will be in the opposition line up.
cityfanlee23 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Jasper is vice captain, with Morgan out he will 10000% start against villa.
Silverdaz Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Jasper is vice captain, with Morgan out he will 10000% start against villa. I like the sound of this Jasper character does he play up fromt
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Jasper is vice captain, with Morgan out he will 10000% start against villa. I seriously doubt any manager would consider it vital to start their vice captain when their captain's out. It's not like it's a big appointment where a lot of thought goes into it. Cambiasso would be a perfectly good captain for the day.
Itsthejoeker Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 The grass isn't always greener on the other side!

Pearson Nigel Posted 4 December 2014 Author Posted 4 December 2014 In my opinion and that's all this is...........As Well as CS is a good a very good keeper... he is NOT premiership class....and certainly has not got the presence.......well I can't feel it anyway....! Bearded Buddy deserves ago.....if not for his performance at Stoke alone I bid you farewell PS:: Oh by the way Underpants , in relation to your FORCEFUL comment below If you don't care and don't Read....why bother writing anything......especially a load of C**p ta ta for now Underpants "You are right Nigel has some big decisions to make, but you are probably wrong on what decisions he needs to make, couldn't be arsed to read them, don't really care what another know-nothing-know-it-all thinks"
dayday Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Ben Hamer deserves his chance,Kasper has cocked up to many times, maybe being dropped will do him good

The Blue Moon Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Couldn't agree more, Hamer has to start at Villa. Schmeichel is out of his depth and finally people are starting to realise. Give Hamer a month to prove himself then depending on how he performs bring another keeper in during Jan. Kasper should never wear the shirt again.
