Tommy G Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Used to go to some classy places like Squares, Voodoo, Parody, Zanzibar, Creation. Even stepped foot in Onyx once
Soar Fox Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 That bar near the market was Manilla in the late 90's early 00's, Pyatt did the door there, great bloke. Still speak to him whenever I see him at the boxing, trains a lad called Joe something now among others who is a pretty good unbeaten prospect. I would love to have been old enough to experience the Granby Hall boxing days in Leicester. Have you saw the video of the White collar boxing at the King power from 2 weeks? The lad Pyatt was coaching kicked off in and out of the ring with his opponent and it didn't even make it past the 1st round
Guest MattP Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 I've not no if you've got it whack it up and I'll have a watch
adam Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 What happened to Undecided? That used to be good in there and was always heaving. Especially in the tent. Had some brilliant times in there.

Guest MattP Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Unbelievable. I don't know where to start with that., makes the gypos at the Hermatige centre look civilised.

Still remember some tricks you pulled on the Zanzibar dancefloor with a much older female Cobanna in Zanzibar Parody, that place is the bins.

Buce Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Slightly off topic, but did anyone go to London to see Sibbo fight Mark Kaylor for the European title? Worst crowd violence I've ever been caught up in, including terrace aggro in the 70s.

Leicester and West Ham were at it all day, firms that were a combination of footy hooligans and boxing fans. Though the off with Birmingham and West Ham at a night with Kaylor and McCracken was the war to end all wars, Cass Pennant said it's the only time he wanted the fighting to stop as it had got too mental.
Guest MattP Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Well it always looks appealing... Crikey I remember that place, if we were really pissed it was sometimes an option on the way to undecided. Half of the saff in there dancing in trainers at 1am on a Saturday.

Yeah, his fans were with West Ham's Inter City Firm; there were more punches thrown outside the ring than in it, and it went the distance. I still have a scar below my left eyebrow from that day.
Vicki Vixen Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 This thread brought back memories of Liam Moore's attempt at organising a promotion party. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/94069-end-of-season-party-liam-moores-doo/ "everyone's invited and yes Jamie Vardy will be there" Liam, what were you thinking?
Filbert_Ross Posted 10 December 2014 Posted 10 December 2014 Had some of the best times ever at Passion & Storm at the Emporium.
Parafox Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Wasn't there another next door for younger kids? Aunties? Yes on the ground floor.
Bert Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Not going back as far as some here but the Loaded Dog - Time (Now Parcel Yard) - Walkabout - Yates - Life route around 08/09 was fantastic. Never forget meeting Bert and Loveday in Liquid one Saturday night, changed the dancing rules forever that night. What a night my friend
jonthefox Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Metal was the word for me, so I was always in sector 5, George's and the uni. Happy days.
L1wazza Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Is that terrace bar any good? Tried to get in a few times but was rejected, heard it's expensive.
DennisNedry Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 I've only ever been out in town on a Saturday night. Mentioned that fact at college and was told that Friday nights are much better. Thoughts?
Buzzell Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Is that terrace bar any good? Tried to get in a few times but was rejected, heard it's expensive. Usually end up in there at some point if I'm out. Trendy bar but seems quite 'clicky' in there. I usually go there just to have a couple of absinthes because after that I usually don't remember the rest of the night.
Voll Blau Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Usually been Mosh or Fan Club for me. Keep Belvoir Street at arms length if I can but I've had the very occasional trip to Terrace. Always enjoy a wander into Cafe Bruxelles too. More about all-dayers in good boozers than nights out for me nowadays anyway.
Bert Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Is that terrace bar any good? Tried to get in a few times but was rejected, heard it's expensive.Packed full of fanny. But don't expect much change from a fiver when you buy a pint.
Soar Fox Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 My mates new bar opens tonight. Next door to cafè Bruxelles, not going to be the biggest of places but it's something different in Leicester.
