Is Paulo Sousa our next Nigel Pearson?

He just qualified from the group stages with Liverpool and Real Madrid in their group. With just the combined 15 European titles... The same Liverpool that just beat us 3-1...

And you have the cheek to belittle him?

As others have already pointed out, he took over a quality squad that had been assembled before he joined.

He shan't be belittled for scraping through to the next CL stage, but we shouldn't paint him in an all-saviour white, either.

They lost both matches against Real and made a fool of themselves against Ludogorets away.

Because them European titles are really helping Liverpool at the minute.

What about that side down the motorway that has a couple of european titles?

Pearson isn't doing too bad competing with them is he?

He wanted to make footballers like Matt Oakley play tika taka. He also had Logan as his number one. With the thai's backing who knows, but at the time I think it was pretty obvious this was only going to end in one way.

Matt Oakley invented tika taka.

Paulo will be managing at a much higher level then Pearson could ever dream of, earning loads more money and much more accolade in his profession.

Did you not read the part about it being because of his name.

Shambles at QPR, hated at Swansea, utter shambles with us. Then takes over the champions in some tin pot leagues where the teams are already good because of others. Couple of wins in the champions league and suddenly he's amazing.... sorry, not having that.

The Championship is a harder and higher quality league than any of those that Sousa has managed in (and we've seen how he gets on in that), he's in the champions league by default because he happened to take over the champions of a league that qualifies.

It's the equivalent of bumming Ronny Deila because Celtic got to the champions league and managed to win a couple of games.

DId you not read about the part about Sousa earning his name and his right to be treated in that capacity.

And what's that got to do with him being a good manager or not?

Yes he'll be managing it a higher level (if you call the Hungarian, Israeli and Swiss leagues as a higher lever), because of his name. Not because of any ability he's shown, which was my original point.

I have no idea what point you are trying to make.
