DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 imo your opinions are more extreme than DanLCFC's and if I get to the end of a Saturday night without reading something from him that he says is a joke or ridiculous I don't feel that I have had a good night but that is just imho. Actually after his outburst the other day Corky is the one to watch imo. He is all calm when we're winning but as soon as we lose one/eleven game(s) he turns into a rabid animal. Corky, a rabid animal! Sounds about right.
cc_star Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 The January window appears likely to be a struggle, both to find, and convince such players to come here, when it looks more than likely we will be relegated.Valid point January is notoriously difficult anyway, never mind being bottom. But money talks. Big fee as clubs know we're desperate and then it's quite a gamble for a player so expect high wages, big bonus should we stay up and clause allowing departure for a comparatively low fee should we go down
Raj Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 folk talking like. After Jans transfer window we will be a complete different team. SO deluded to think A-we will attract them sort of players we are crying out for anyway and then B they can just slot in and play like they've been here all season. P.s think some posters need to chiill out,go for a walk get some air and not return.for a few hours....genuinely worried about some peoples fixation on here to be right all the time and their general mental state!!!

P.s think some posters need to chiill out,go for a walk get some air and nite return.for a few hours....genuinely worried about some peoples fixation on here to be right all the time!!!! In fairness Raj, Mahrez played like he'd been here for years when he first turned up at the start of the year. What we can attract, and what it will cost, will be a different matter, but the premiership money will always be a lure. We might end up with a few mercenaries, we might end up with a few just looking at us as a springboard, but the sort of players we need will come, just not necessarily for the right reasons.
Raj Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Springboard?!..Knocky using us a springboard apparently!!! !
Raj Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 I hope the right players DO come whatever the price as long as it keeps us up...just think it maybe too late by then...hope Im well and truly wrong though
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 I hope the right players DO come whatever the price as long as it keeps us up...just think it maybe too late by then...hope Im well and truly wrong though So it IS now a good thing that we pay 'whatever' the price for our signings? Christ how the tide turns on here.
Raj Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Col...go for a walk mate...the air will do you good. X
Raj Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 For the record. I Dont want us spending OTT for players or wages. But if that genuine quality is there and want 10-20% more in wages than what we are paying already id go for it!!! But no,paying shed loads of cash isn't the answer imho.
Dr The Singh Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 So it IS now a good thing that we pay 'whatever' the price for our signings? Christ how the tide turns on here. I've always said we spend money and lots of it, on quality to keep us up. I understand the risks, and I believe they are worth it
Dickov22 Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I'm no psychologist, but probably because his team conceded a goal? Eh, if you don't want to be called a moron, don't act like one. Because we were on the attack, he takes up a position on the halfway line, like a striker. He starts pushing forward the moment they win the ball back, like a striker. If because he was on the halfway line when they won the ball, that makes it a run from midfield, then every goal a striker gets from a counter attack is a midfielders goal. He positioned himself the way Nugent did last season, as a support striker. It's quite clearly Simpsons fault for being woefully out of position and putting Wes up against nasri, then ignoring wasyls attempts to organise the defence Interesting listening to the football forum last night. Matt Elliott when talking about the goal says 'Cambiasso lost his man which is unlike him'. Is he a 'moron' too then?
Fox Ulike Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I'd say that if one particular player is to blame then it's Konchesky. He should have spotted the danger. However, Schlupp, Simpson, Cambiasso, Morgan and Wasyl all make mistakes as well. Well, despite the improvements to Saturday’s team selection and formation, we were once again playing without a Defensive Midfielder. If the opposition Midfielder breaks forward then your defensive midfielder usually tracks back to cover him. Cambiasso started to go with Lampard but then kind of just gave up. Cambiasso’s error. However the exclusion of our best defensive midfielder by the Manager (James) means that Pearson is more to blame.
tylesta Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 If we defended better they wouldn't of scored

Yes, according to 'The Doctor' both morons I suspect? There aint none so blind as those who won't see (or summat along those lines).

There aint none so blind as those who won't see (or summat along those lines). Don't forget me. I'm also a moron lumping this on Cambiasso too. He starts tracking Lampard but then just kind of goes "ah fvck it, someone else will cover for me..." Which incidentally, was pretty much as happened for Villa's winning goal when poor old Schlupp moves across to cover for an invisible Cambiasso.

Wes copped the blame for that one though because apparently he 'assisted Gerrard'. I viewed it as him stretching desperately trying to clear a ball. Poor clearance, but once again there's a man unmarked to put it in. Collectively we are so so bad defensively

There aint none so blind as those who won't see (or summat along those lines). Savage is a complete tool and as for Elliott, good player but I've never found myself agreeing with anything he's said on RL during the matches. It's quite clear that not having a centre-back in the centre dealing with the strikers from a cross is criminal - it's clearly simpson that is at fault, woefully out of position and ignores the instructions to get back into it from Wasyl. Either you've got a vendetta against him and want to blame him for everything or you didn't actually watch the match. Konchesky is the one whose gone missing at the far post, and Wasyl was well out of position.

Yep- I've gotta say, you are clearly right and obviously know more than two paid pundits who played more than 500 games in the prem between them.

Being a good player doesn't make you a good pundit, just as it doesn't make you a good manager, and as for being paid - Don Goodman is a paid professional pundit, as is Peter Beagrie. Being a professional pundit doesn't mean you can't be hopelessly wrong.
