Thanks UB, much love.

I was actually trying to stick up for Raj using Sarcasm, the point was RAJ HAS BEEN ON FT FOR BLOODY YEARS- OF COURSE HE'S NOT A MAN CITY FAN. Guess I shouldn't bother wading into other people's beefs.

cheers dude....i Dont normally get into slagging matches but for some reason i have...sorry all

Im just pissed off that we had a chance today to catch a low key man.city off guard and even a point would have done wonders for our confidence.

Course i thought we'd get hammered BUT we were in the game BUT why didn't we go for it..

Where was our Steve Walsh or matty Elliott in the last 10 mins?..Where was the electric atmosphere with the crowd baying For that equalize against the champs ??

I've never hammered the team players or staff,i have mates who work at city...

But when you work with non city fans it just makes Monday even more painful.

I know this league is hard,i wouldnt mind losing but we are just fractions away from a good result...but we keep bloody saying that and i fear we will still be saying that in.Feb...

Sorry if i offended anyone at the end of the day we are a family at war sometimes amongst ourselves!!!

So Fook. You all......xx

I hope the players get some confidence back after today. I think lack of confidence is the reason for poor decision making in the final third, and that costs us. Also Hamer makes me feel a lot less nervous than Kasper... sorry.

As the end of the game was drawing in this was all I could think. We had a fantastic chance to get at least a point off them today. They were under par, we played pretty well. Yet, still we've ended up losing. That's the most frustrating thing for us fans.

Raj, you causing trouble again you big twat?

Didn't mean to...just all came out!!!

It's so, so gutting that we saved this performance for Man City. We play like that against Villa, Burnley, QPR, West Brom, Sunderland etc... and you've most likely got a win.

4-3-3 is the way forward. Our midfield and general quality of football was a lot better today. Didn't really create enough though. How many saves did Hart have to make?

Games like today though I think you've just got to sit back and accept that we were probably going to lose regardless of what we did. We haven't disgraced ourselves but once again we miss out by a fine margin. Burnley beating Southampton has annoyed me more than our result.

Don't disagree with that. But I feel positive about today's performance. Anyone who doesn't see that needs to get a reality check.

Marked improvement. That's my point

Normal service will be resumed next week, we'll be back to a shite performance, I wouldn't consider West Ham one of the top teams, doubt many do tbh, so the players won't turn up for that one.

Raj.. Stick with the courage of your own convictions and don't bow down to peer pressure. You've had a mare, you must accept it and take it on the chin and stop grovelling. Be a man mate..

Thought Riyad was a joy to watch today. Not everything will come off, but brilliant to see a £400,000 City player put a series of title-chasers on their backsides.

That run in the first half was almost worth the ticket price. Fantastic skill.

Wherever we are next season, he will be playing in the Premier League.

Woah I expected a positive post match thread, remember this is a thread about the Man City game not the last 12 games or however many and we acquitted ourselves well against a well-drilled and organised, expensively assembled and still star-studded side who are the current Champions of England. We ourselves were pretty organised and defended well, kept the ball reasonably well at times, worried their defence now and then and worked our socks off. Yes, the quality we are lacking but in terms of this game, we can't expect too much against Manchester City. Good performance, worth the 9 hour trip for me (including game time).

Said to my mate today how good would he look in a good team. I think you're right: if we go down he won't be coming with us. Bids to start at £12 million

For me that was an improved performance, maybe against a different weaker opponent we may have took all three points, as I said pre match Leicester always know how to raise there game against the bigger clubs. One minor negative was I felt we didn't quite do enough in the final half an hour, but till around the 60th alot of positives lets hope some of the good work will continue onto next week!... but sadly I already have a bad feeling about next week, Leicester's problem this season is we take one step forward only to take two steps back.

It's all looking at bit 94/95 isn't it. Top marks for effort but let down by a lack of quality and experience. Cambiasso even looks a bit like Draper.

In a team where strikers finish chances and he has better players around him I think we'd see him shine even more. Just seems to be able to turn players inside out with ease. Final decision and delivery needs improving but he's still got a lot of potential as well at his age.

Straightforward win for Man City is what I saw. Some decent endeavour and a bit of quality here and there for us but I am not particularly encouraged by our performance. A draw would have left me encouraged.

I'll take that if in two years it leads to a 96/97!

That actually restored a bit of faith for me actually. The players are still playing for the manager which is massively encouraging given our situation. Thought Knocky and Riyad (our most innovative players) in particular showed enough for us to believe chances will be created in future games. I love Schlupp but a fully fit Leonardo could really prosper if those two play together I think.

Sacking NP would be completely pointless as far as I can see. Keep the faith- this season is far from over- Blue Army!

Better today but issue for me is squad balance. We have no perfect formation and any formation we do play leaves weaknesses.

Strengthening in Jan required. But we'll be in the mix. Still backing us to stay up.

Worried about West Ham and their arial prowess mind.

Can't really see what there is to be positive about. Ok we only lost 1-0 and I thought we would lose by more but we were so out of our depth attacking wise it was painful to watch at times.

To have not a single shot in the second half and only a feeble looped header on target in the first just isn't good enough. Let's be honest Man City didn't break into a sweat to win, they didn't need to we just didn't turn up attacking wise.

Schlupp and Mahrez offered virtually nothing the whole time they were on the pitch. Every now and then Mahrez did something spectacular but with little or no end product. Five minutes contribution in 90 isn't enough for a team like us. He's a luxury player who isn't really producing enough for us but sadly provides our only attacking player who looks capable of producing something special. Sadly it is too infrequent.

We defended ok but they didn't have any strikers did they?

Our full backs offered no attacking threat whatsoever and our set pieces were frankly an embarrassment. Professional footballers who can't beat the first man at corners should be ashamed. It wasn't just one player but whoever took a corner had the same problems. Our free kicks were poor and we offer no goal threat at all from set peices.

Our tactics for the last twenty minutes were a farcical version of kick and rush combined with badly directed hoofball.

And why make the substitutions so late? Every match we wait religiously to around 70 minutes and then make them. Today they were totally inefective.

Our players are floundering out of their depth. They deserved a chance but should have been properly reinforced in the summer. That they weren't was a folly it looks like we will regret with relegation looking more certain with every passing match.

As we enter the January transfer window it is obvious we are at least four players short of having any chance of staying up. A season that started with great hope is fast becoming a nightmare and an embarrassment.
