StanSP Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 One thing that was guaranteed today was that his performance would be utter turd. At least he delivered. Is he possibly the worst ref we've had this season? Any kind of touch on Man City players and he'd be blowing for free-kicks against us. Some fair 50/50s or even when we've won the ball in a tackle he'd give a free-kick to them. Haven't seen the Mangala tackle on Vardy back yet but not sure if it was a penalty or not... The only thing he did get right (and I'm really struggling for other things which were key) was that he booked Hart for time-wasting correctly.

ARTY_FOX Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Tbh the standard of Officiating in the premier league isn't that great altogether.
Stuliasz Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 There seemed to be way too much in the way of protection for the big boys, much more so than in our previous matches against the bigger teams. If you're asking whether he's the worst we've had this season, below are the worst five as voted for in the ratings so far - will be interesting to see where he will fit in: 3.01 : Craig Pawson v Villa (A) 3.60 : Robert Madley v Sunderland (H) 4.46 : Lee Mason v Liverpool (H) 4.55 : Stuart Attwell v WBA (H) 4.73 : Roger East v QPR (A)
Unabomber Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 How are refs allowed to be so out of shape? Genuinely drives me mad, it is a sport not a ****ing jolly down the local, he is not here to sink 6 pints of mild, he is here to keep up with play and make rational fair decisions. He is an embarrassment to the sport, to his career and to his family.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Surprised that the fat fvcker managed to waddle down the pitch to book Hart. How on earth did he ever get to be a Premier League referee? His career path to being a top flight referee should have been irreparably diverted by the farce at Forest a few years ago, and that's before just looking at him. He's a fat mess. How can you be that overweight when it is your job to keep fit? As for the linesman in front of me in the West Stand, he was just a total joke. Pozo was offside for most of the first half. City kept hitting it up to him, Morgan or Wasyl would clear or head away because they didn't want Pozo to be clean through on goal and then sometimes it would go to a City player. How is that not a case of Pozo interfering with play? Meanwhile the linesman on the other side was clearly doing the exact opposite, as in the second half even when the ball was cleared the flag went up. They were definitely the worst set of officials I have seen this season.
Vicki Vixen Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Why are all referees in the English game slightly overweight middle-aged white men?
Tom17LCFC Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 he's got previous with us as well. I remember him sending kasper off at forest away a few years back, utter cvnt.

In previous matches even when the striker hadn't touched the ball the flag has gone up despite our players clearing it successfully. The linesman in question almost seem too scared to give a decision.
ADK Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 My favourite was Clichy kicking Andy King instead of the ball and getting a free kick for it.

The linesman in question almost seem too scared to give a decision. And that should definitely be how the game is refereed. It's completely unreasonable that a defender might misplace a clearance and lose the ball because they're stretching or off-balance or whatever because they're intercepting a pass to an offside player. Linesman should always put his flag up in that scenario.
ARTY_FOX Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 The only decent ref left is the one that looks like kevin bridges twin brother
Guest ttfn Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 My favourite was Clichy kicking Andy King instead of the ball and getting a free kick for it. Yaya Toure making 3 fouls in 5 minutes and not getting booked for persistent infringement was pretty odd. Silva made 2 cynical fouls and got booked for neither. It was both one-sided and just generally atrocious refereeing.
Fox92 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I believe Moss is the same referee as our draws at Nottingham Forest away (2-2 draw) and Middlesbrough away (3-3 draw). I don't like him, never will, and the same applies to that idiot Lee Mason. The standard of referring is appalling but the FA don't seem to do anything about it. Suppose it will continue while the FA continue to protect them over near enough everything.

ADK Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I think it was just the fact the ref had clearly decided anything 50/50 was going to the "big" club that annoyed me. Need to see a replay of the penalty. Did their player get enough on the ball? because he certainly took Vardy. We were never going to get anything though.
Russell sprout Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 The bigger clubs always get protection from officials,it's fair to say we got a lot of protection last season when we was the team to beat.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 The fat sod was useless. Every little bloody thing, he blew his whistle for. I thought this was a man's game, not a non-contact sport. Embarrassing.

orangecity23 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Jon Moss always has been, and always will be one of the most inept or downright biased referees in English football. He's the third prong of the unholy trinity of useless crooked bastards, alongside his Leicester hating buddies Darren Deadman and Gavin Ward.

DennisNedry Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Referee wasn't too bad. Yes he gave too many soft free kicks for both sides, but compared the the utter shit we've had for years in the Championship he was good. The PL refs for our games have been good this season on the whole. The linesman though was the worst I've ever seen, literally missed about 10 blatant offsides.
