This guy has stolen a living from football for to long, someone set up a petition to get him removed from the ref pool, can replace him with octopus randomly picking balls, bound to get more decisions right that way.

Oh I forgot to say, Cvnt.

How are refs allowed to be so out of shape? Genuinely drives me mad, it is a sport not a ****ing jolly down the local, he is not here to sink 6 pints of mild, he is here to keep up with play and make rational fair decisions.

He is an embarrassment to the sport, to his career and to his family.

So wise.

Jamie Carragher reckons the ref got all the big decisions right.

He should have stuck to playing the game. Look at the Vardy penalty incident once more and let him explain how long grabbing a breakaway attacker by the shoulder to restrain his progress has been lawful? Or hauling a centre-back to the floor in an armlock, or is that not a major decision given that it should have been a penalty! .

Seriously, this is a referee that is known by the FA as one that makes egregious mistakes. Why is he still here and not "relegated" to the Championship?

I always hated this argument when we were in the Championship and I'm not gonna change my opinion now.

Why should Championship teams be made to suffer because the **** of a "referee" has made mistakes?

What have the Championship teams done wrong to put up with his sub standard performances?

No matter what level the matches are just as important to those individuals as they are for us/any big game.

I don't see what demoting him to a lower league does as regards "punishing" him.

If you look at each incident in isolation, he probably did. The issue is, similar to the Arsenal game earlier when Simpson was sent off. The ref was very quick to apply the letter of the in certain places but not others. If you are going to be picky and harsh, then be picky and harsh against both teams for the full 90, don't pick and choose.

Carragher made some good points, particularly about our penalty which does look clear from the refs view.

However he believes Vardy's first was a yellow because Okazaki fouled someone just before. That is not justification!

I'd love to see analysis of Payet's dive and Reid fouling Ulloa on the halfway line. These haven't even been mentioned in the press.
