But would a different manager have identified and brought in all the right targets in the summer? Would a different manager have prevented Konchesky passing it to Carroll? Would a different manager stop Morgan putting the ball into his own net at QPR? Unfortunately the manager doesn't control the squad like it's manager mode on FIFA 15 so surprisingly Pearson isn't accountable for every single thing that goes wrong. The biggest issue for most people is that the players aren't good enough, so he needed to bring in better players and the Robinson sacking suggests that was out of his hands.

Can people stop with the constant excuses...before any manager is sacked you could defend them with excuses unfortunately whether it works out or not...he has to be sacked

As for getting rid of him though, I still can't think of who we would have as an alternative, and we're down regardless, so he may aswell stay.
