KFS Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 we have a player making mistakes most weeks which cost us goals but because he has a bit of cloth extra on his sleeve Nigel Pearson would never drop him, our defence has been awful all season, Liam was made the scapegoat but I see nothing different, get Liam Moore back in drop Morgan and send a message that constant mistakes won't be tollerated Sorry mate, I can't agree with bringing Moore back in at this stage. His positioning was caught out by Villa, let alone some of the battles with the big boys we've got coming.
RonnieTodger Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Fair play to Schlupp, I'm one of his biggest critics but he was superb yesterday. It's not enough though, and we played really well but I doubt we've turned a corner. We'll probably just go back to being shit and lose 2-0 at Hull. Hope I'm wrong.
Dan Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 It's absolutely typical that Mahrez will be missing for Villa, Stoke and probably Palace at home too. Three of our most winnable remaining fixtures where he could make a big difference.

Our defence is totally out of its depth. Not a single defender we have fills me with confidence. Not a single one.
Jimmy Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Sorry mate, I can't agree with bringing Moore back in at this stage. His positioning was caught out by Villa, let alone some of the battles with the big boys we've got coming. Wes' positioning is worse, his reaction time is slower and he's cost us at least 1 goal most weeks it can't get much worse Playing Moore sends a message that mistakes will be tolerated as he's made as many as anyone. Our defence is totally out of its depth. Not a single defender we have fills me with confidence. Not a single one. how can he when he hasn't played, Villa game aside, since the Swansea game?
Leicester Lass Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Wes' positioning is worse, his reaction time is slower and he's cost us at least 1 goal most weeks it can't get much worse how can he when he hasn't played, Villa game aside, since the Swansea game? Well he lost his man for Villa's first goal and could arguably shoulder some of the blame for Swansea's second. So there's 2 mistakes in his last 2 appearances.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 I think that yesterday was the most unlucky we have been in a long while.
Raj Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 It's starting to hurt less and less with every defeat now it's become normal, infact I don't think i'd quite know what to do should we somehow get a win.yday was bad Matt Cos we actually looked good at times and deserved to win.Still.....

He made mistakes leading to goals in both of those games. You're fighting a losing battle with this defence. It's without a doubt the main priority for me.
GLC Posted 27 December 2014 Author Posted 27 December 2014 I don't think it was a penalty, Vertonghen got a foot on the ball before he touched Vardy
cjslcfc Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 I don't think it was a penalty, Vertonghen got a foot on the ball before he touched Vardy I'd disagree. Getting the ball isn't the be all and end all. He flicks the ball as his leg goes over it and straight into Vardy. He's not in control of the challenge and I think it's a definite penalty.

So there's 2 mistakes in his last 2 appearances. you mean the 1 where De Laet let the runner get 5 yards past him so couldn't do his job and stop the cross coming in I'd disagree. DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Not likely to beat anyone at the moment.
Dickov22 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We weren't lucky at Stoke. They were shit and couldn't score and we took our only chance. Maybe we didn't deserve to win the game if you look at the stats but that's not how it works. I don't think we were unlucky against Spurs, we conceded two goals through erros, obviously, may for we should have gotten a penalty but that boils down to bad refereeing. Ulloa and Mahrez hitting tge woodwork isn't bad luck either that's their fault they hit the post on the bar. Did you go to Stoke? First half we were dreadful and they murdered us. We were definitely lucky People suggesting the Vardy incident wasn't a pen

Stoke..I remember on here when we were linked with Hughes. Many laughed at that, I think? I doubt they are laughing now. He's done very well there.

Cambiasso was good that half, but Drinkwater was even better.
