Harry - LCFC Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Another very valiant effort. First thirty was very poor but yet again the team picked themselves up from a bad position. While the team continues to battle in that way I won't give up on them.
Landsend Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We're in a rut! {definition} "a habit or pattern of behaviour that has become dull and unproductive but is hard to change." A good manager would be able to fix this - unfortunately it seems Pearson is not able to....
cc_star Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 IMO that was different to all the preceding defeats Yes there was poor finishing, & a defensive error But today we were so, so much better Ref robbed us of two penalties, Vardy's one would have lead to a red card too and it was quickly followed up by Ulloa being pulled down, in fact that happened much earlier too, then on to hitting the woodwork twice And then Lloris' great save pushing that cross onto Morgan who would have had the open goal We played some incredible stuff today, our midfield despite being outnumbered took the game to them like we did earlier in the season... Lack of Cambiasso is the correlating factor here Why oh why couldn't we play like that against Burnley, Palace, West Brom etc
Guest kristianity77 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Apparently if we lose to Hull, we will hold the joint record for the worst run in Premier League history of 2 points from 42 (currently held by Sunderland) Breaking records last season, maybe breaking records this one too! :xmassad:

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Great to get a goal for Ulloa only shows with this performance what we are missing ? A proven Goal scorer ! And a decent defence
lee7 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 I think Hull will be Pearsons last chance! Anything but 3 points and he will get the sack. They are 6 points above us and were In abysmal form up until today also. We may batter teams at times but at the end of the day it's points that keep you up and not performances.
Richmondfox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 It's losses like this one that hurt more than getting battered.
cc_star Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Watched the game on Thai TV, nigel Pearson sat in his hole just about the whole time bundled up in the corner. Looked cold, miserable and clearly not wanting to be there. Anyone else see it? Mauricio Pochettino was on the side line edging his guys on encouraging them, making his presence known. Can nige at least attempt to show some enthusiasm? I don't care now, however you want to look at the game, it was not a case of luck or "we played well!!!" it's once again, we walked away with nothing. Nige either needs to spend big, try to get get players in our sinking ship and take a chance at staying up, or move aside for someone else. Also needs to get on the ground and stop going into he stands/sitting in a corner hiding from the rain because it clear doesnt provide a tactical advantage. Also, can we get rid of konchesky? Nice was banned from the touchline you moron, last week he returned to the touchline and he kicked & headed every ball with the players Makes no difference Pochettino stood there looking like his whole family had been murdered like he has all season What will be interesting is whether Nice returns to the touchline like he did against the Hammers or retains his viewing position in the stand like he has for most of his second spell with us Personally I think he should spend first half analysing from the stands and second half on the touchline... Or at least come down from 60mins
Leicester_Loyal Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 But I noticed he left his perch before the final whistle- maybe 1 or2 minutes left. Perhaps knows any luck he was praying for has gone. We deserved to win that game easily- sorry but management team just tainted now with doom........ What a crock of shite. Shut up you're embarressing yourself.
DennisNedry Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 For me this is the most painful defeat of the season (even worse than QPR) I don't think I've ever seen us play better than that and lose. Unreal.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Disappointing that we lost but on the bright side at least the performance will shut the 4-5-1 monkeys up for a bit.
Spicer Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 The difference between an established premiership side and us is simple, they take there chances.
jimmeh Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Did you know we have the same amount of points as hyde fc in the conference North! Both have 20 games left to play. Can we get more points than hyde?
foxsake123 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 think you saw a different game to everyone elseI saw the same game as scottiedawg albeit on ESPN.

If we can get something out of the Hull game then the Liverpool game will become more interesting considering Liverpool's inconsistent season, they were quite lucky to beat Burnley today apparently. Though if we lose to Hull then that could be it.
old koppite Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Nigel was banned from the touchline. What a crock of shite. Shut up you're embarressing yourself. Yeah, my second sentence was stupid- but do you disagree with my other comments? Fact is he did leave his seat before final whistle, we deserved to win that game , and sometimes in any profession a management change is needed when all else fails. Granted, we've not tried the January window option yet. What's your reasoned answer to our current plight then? Interested to hear another fan's views.
foxsake123 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 The difference between an established premiership side and us is simple, they take there chances. If you follow that line of thinking no promoted team would have ever stayed up.
dayday Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Feel for the lads today, just bloody bad luck,so gutted
Landsend Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 The owners have it all wrong. The Premier League isn't about Loyalty - it's about Results. We've all witnessed that recently... even top class managers are vulnerable. It's a big money game, and I'm totally surprised the owners haven't input more to the fans what they intend doing?
stingray Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 3 new players minimum: left back, centre back and striker.
Raj Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 How the fook did we lose that? Im equally pissed off and proud of the players at the same time....
fuchsntf Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Exhilarating - so proud of the boys after an emphatic 6-0 victory over an in form Spurs side today. I was a bit worried when Morgan nearly slipped to gift a ridiculous goal inside the first minute, and Hamer nearly embarrassed himself on the near post for what would have been a pathetic goal to concede in the second half, but the defense held on well. A perfect hattrick from Ulloa - a towering header from a Mahrez cross in the first half which it would have been impossible to miss, lovely flick for the second and then a belter of a penalty after a stone-wall foul on Vardy - that must be the most blatant penalty I've ever seen, I'm glad the referee wasn't foolish enough to miss that. And for him to give the second penalty to Vardy was a great gesture - and credit again to the ref, who had the bottle to give a second minutes after the first. Can't be grabbing handfuls of shirt like that in the box, clear penalty. Mahrez's free kick - a beauty. When was the last time we scored a direct free kick of such quality? Icing on the cake for me was Morgan tapping into an empty net towards the end - again, it's not like it would be possible to miss, but good to see the big man on the scoresheet. Onwards and upwards for the Foxes, who continue to mount their charge for the Europa League. Post of the season...Read it after the sherry trifle .Thought the 5th goal would squeeze us into 4th
Sunbury Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 I don't think we were unlucky at all. But we're all entitled to our opinions. Happy Holidays! Are you for real?! Watch the game again.
