sylofox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Great to get a goal for Ulloa only shows with this performance what we are missing ? A proven Goal scorer ! Was not at the game but from what I have read your wrong. And stats prove that we are not being battered what we need first is a defence. We let in 2 or 3 most weeks you can't even pick up a point doing that. Even Man City and Chelse can not score 3 or 4 every week. Our main concern should be our defence first. If we strengthen that our midfield could support our strikers better. Even Taves and the biter would struggle to score for us. A solid back four would give the rest of the team confidence.
kingfox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 A good enough performance, but yet again stupid individual errors cost us. We didn't deserve to lose today, Schlupp & Mahrez were excellent on the wings, gave the ball away a couple of times but you expect that, but they were by far our two most dangerous players. Ulloa despite missing that sitter, did much better today, much better work rate in particular. While I'll also say that was Drinkwater's best performance of the season, from about 30 minutes onwards he controlled that midfield. Same old story though, we just lack that bit of quality, I thought we were crying out for an attacking midfielder today, bit more creativity and with the chances we had, some came out to the edge of the box, and we could of done with someone running in there who can slot the ball away. One last thing, away fans somehow need banning from home areas, had to put up with two Spurs fans sitting next to me, who were constantly sucking off Harry Kane
eastendfox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We're improving, you just have to look at the possession stats compared to a few weeks ago to show that. The back 5 clearly needs strengthening, but I think we will soon start to get some results. Can't see it being enough to keep us up, and the real shame is that the improved players will then leave when we go down.
Thrill Bert Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Did you know we have the same amount of points as hyde fc in the conference North! Both have 20 games left to play. Can we get more points than hyde? nice gauntlet to throw down I like your style at least someone is trying to motivate the players.
Matt Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Played well, we gave it a go for a try. The players have been trying i'll give them that but I can honestly say they gave it a real go until today, we did. I've seen people saying we've been unlucky in the past few weeks that really annoys me and I can't agree, but today I will say we were unlucky, very unlucky, we could have won it, but it all comes down the major point i've been pointing out for weeks lacking quality is the reason we didn't win, or even draw today.

Completely agree today we were unluckily but in my view that cannot be said for the previous 12 games. In the past we have not defended well, not used substitutions effectively, adopted poor tactics, had a poorly motivated team and a manager who has shown little passion. You can debate forever if he had support for the signings he wanted to make but we will never know the true answer. However we did not enter this division with the worst squad and it is down to the manger to make best use of their resources which in my opinion Nigel has not done.
Matt Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 What I will say is we were crying out for Vardy atleast 20 minutes before he came on, add Knockeart to that aswell. We needed his pace and work ethic to add to our postive attacking, knocking on the door, brought those to on earlier I think we'd have broke them down and got something out of the game.
Callabinho Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Rotten luck, that's all today boiled down to, we created the chances, just couldn't finish them, beaten by their one moment of quality from a world class player.
Thrill Bert Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Shlupp Motm. best game he has had for a long time might be down to the fact he was allowed to play a more attacking style.
johnny the fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Too sum up. Spurs shockingly bad Some good play at times Wes mistake for first goal Hamer mistake for second Wasilewski good Schlupp good 2 open goals missed (Wes's sort of) Woodwork hit twice 4 good saves from Lloris Defence bar Was not good enough Knockaert and Vardy good when they came on you forgot to mention konchesky was shight..
Narborough_fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Such a disappointing way to lose. So many chances and 2 pieces of absolutely criminal defending see us lose again! Can't fault the effort, and I don't think we can at all this season but there's just a lack of quality. On a side note... Mahrez was a joy to behold today, we're absolutely stuffed when he leaves for AFCON.
Jimmy Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 why the hell do we always wait too long to make subs, we needed to get Vardy on when we were on top and really at them but Pearson always waits too long and by the time we got him on we'd lost all our momentum and putting Knocky on with 5 mins left is pointless, he needs time to effect the game
seenitall Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Played really well, unlucky not to score twice more but life is tough at the bottom. I think if we'd have started when they did we would have won this - and I think Nige is a gonner but hats off to him for this performance
Harry - LCFC Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Agree about Vardy needing to come on earlier. Nugent was decent but you know Vardy will always make things happen if the opposition are on the ropes as Spurs were today.
nixdas Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We need to play Moore in defence instead of Wes. Give him a go.. He did well last season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dan Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 I feel absolutely sick. No matter how well we do we somehow find a way to lose. Never known anything like this.
The Doctor Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Well it would have mattered as it would have also resulted in a red card, we lost we know that some may think we deserved to lose some may think we didn't. Think we were the better side and got punished for 2 mistakes but end of day we lost. No, you're not listening. Doesn't matter whether other teams would have been given it or not, what matters is whether you convert it or not, and there's no guarantees we would have done. It was an obvious penalty and we should have had a route back into the game, but what webbo was saying is, we weren't guaranteed to convert it, so we shouldn't be getting this hung up on it.

Genuine question - He was banned today wasn't he? (That's not the question), So he was sat in the stands but am I right in saying he cannot have any contact with the bench? Sure I read someone on here saying that. Regardless as much as I support Pearson, he does make subs too late for my liking, as I said Vardy came on way to late, should have come on atleast 20 minutes earlier.
Narborough_fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We need to play Moore in defence instead of Wes. Give him a go.. He did well last season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Guessing you didn't watch the Villa game because Was-Moore was absolutely horrendous.

Nugent was decent but you know Vardy will always make things happen if the opposition are on the ropes as Spurs were today. he did when he came on, chances are 1 of those pen shouts gets given when we were on top
Matt Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 unlike UEFA touchline bans FA ones just mean he can't be in the dug out Ok. Like I said, I do admit Pearson has previous for making subs too late, quite an often occurrence too.
nixdas Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Guessing you didn't watch the Villa game because Was-Moore was absolutely horrendous. Don't get me wrong. They didn't play well but I think Moore is a good young defender who will relish the challenge. It's a tough call because Wes is the captain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tielemans63 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Leicester have become like the embarrassing uncle who you quite like but who inevitably makes a twat of himself at every family do. The one who comes along, is great value for most of it, making everyone laugh and generally holding court and then they take it too far by making a racist joke and ruining it all. You want to like him because he tries hard but you know he's a twat and he can't help himself. We are that uncle right now.
