Can anyone recommend anywhere for away fans to stop for a pint between station and ground? 5 of us getting train down from Nottingham , also how long is walk to stadium. Thanks. If you're in town early enough for a few head to the old town near the market. Turn right out the station and it's 10 minutes walk. The Market Tavern is your best bet for cheap beer and love footy. Or on route to the ground, also 10 mins from the station and only 5 mins from the ground on Walnut Street is the F Bar. Again cheap booze, footy on tv and some good friendly banter. Have a safe trip.

Personally I'm happy for him to move on, always going to be a hard job for anyone working under mike Ashley but I do think pardew has limited ability, we've watched a lot of shit, lost too many derby games, concede a lot of goals and get shut out too often, he has the odd 4-5 game winning streak every now and then which papers over the cracks. Not really got any preference for next manager, no point hoping for or expecting anything, nobody has a clue what Ashley will do next. I would be surprised if it was a big name, I wouldn't be at all surprised if John carver got the job long term. Hoping Carver is keen to get a big performance out of our lot tomorrow. I suspect we will have a stronger team than we might have done if pardew hadn't gone.
