For anyone who's into Indian food, these guys have been going to a different curry house each month in Leicestershire for the last 9 years and reviewing them https://www.leicestercurryclub.co.uk/ There's also some good pages on insta like curry_rated and the_currycartel. There's also a lot of shite pages by paid promoters who just say everything is amazing. Also the Leicester Curry Awards is a complete sham. It's well known that it's based off who pays the most for a table, evidenced by Royal Leicesters walking away with the pub restaurant of the year- it's shite! lol

Top 3 is hard! Probs Paddy's, Little Club and Broadway. Some of the best stuff at Paddy's is off the menu (lollipop chicken, auntie's special chips, and lamb on the bone curry).

The ones I rate are Broadway, Little Club, Paddy's, Ghurka New Delhi (Mountsorrel), Indian Queen (think current owners have just left though), Three kilns and Ghurka at The Wyvern. Need to go in a decent group though and order loads of stuff and share otherwise it's pointless.

Noticed Avatar in Lutterworth is up there, that's near ish me - I can vouch it's top notch, the Gurkhali Chicken is the best Indian dish I've ever eaten. Pop in if you get the chance.

I think they've got a restaurant in Market Harborough too? Will have to check it out sometime. Opposite side of the county for me though!

They do. Was in there last Saturday, still very good.

Two mins from the station too so handy for out-of-towners, plus the Beerhouse, Freemasons and Cherry Tree all within easy walking distance.

Not Leicester, but Cambridge Street Collective was decent in Sheffield.

I had a very nice Vegan wrap from House of Habesha.

see they score punjabi grill (at the three crowns) in barrow upon soar exceptionally high and on par with last years winner. It is brilliant and they offer stilton and red onion / red Leicester and chilli naan breads which have to be up there with the best i have eaten.

They have put prices up 10/15% or so recently so more than Broadway etc. but still a top place

Three Crowns is great- I live in Barrow and was there on Saturday night and the value was still good. I actually think Ghurka New Delhi in Sorrel is even better (it was only marked down on their scores because they had bad service on a Wednesday night). Both are not quite as good as some of the best ones in the city itself, but are certainly excellent for village offerings.

The lamb chops, fish pakora, green fish sizzler, chili mogo/paneer, lamb on the bone curry, and garlic fried rice are all top notch!

I'm off to Broadway next Wednesday. Got 6 of us going, so going to order the Chef Special Sizzler and see how it compares to Soho Tavern in Birmingham.

Have you tried the new Flying Horse? (Leicester Inn)

Yes went a few weeks ago.

Everyone was happy. Bar area was fooking freezing

It's their poor historical hygiene rating that always puts me off lol
