Charity donation tin stolen from the Globe

Recommended Posts

There are some sick people about. A friend who goes in the Kings Head and volunteers for the Leicester charity Wishes For Kids went to the Globe to pick up a collection tin and discovered it had been stolen. This is also the charity that a part of the poker fee is given to on a Monday night.

Full story here.

According to the landlord it must have been stolen Wednesday afternoon probably by two blokes that were refused to be served as the place was not busy that afternoon

It looks disgraceful but I'll wait until we see the full facts, for all we know the thief could have just came from the job centre where he might have been sanctioned.

Something sounds amiss doesn't it?

If you refused to serve someone surely you would watch them leave the place after doing so?

Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas, have suffered major abuse or are diagnosed as HIV Positive. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below.

Wishes 4 Kids has already granted hundreds of wishes for local children.

Sadly we do not have a magical cure for the suffering of these youngsters, however, we can bring a short period of respite. The time when a child has a wish granted is a moment that will be treasured by them for the rest of their life. It is also a time which parents will remember - that time when their child forgot the suffering.

I think we have a suspect.

Had a dry July, August, September, October, November and December.

Now having a wet January to dissipate the gloom. A nice little crawl last night - a hoppy little bitter in The Pub; a lovely liquorice stout in The King's Head; a solid Brakespear's in Firebug; a perfect Tiger in The Globe (shame they've moved it upmarket, as they're still keeping their ales well); an over-dry ruby ale and a tasty Festive Ale in the Ale Wagon, all topped off with a warming bottle of Old Peculier on returning home.....brain cells pleasantly marinated.

Thanks Smudge , £30.00 donated on behalf of all at Foxtalk !!!

This is why I enjoy being a part of FT.

We can support each other during difficult times, such as being discussed on how's your day, and support causes like this.

Much better than when we are all arguing!!

Small token from us all !!!

Actually there is a huge positive harness on this forum it just takes something good to hook it to

When I see something like this it makes me regret all the moaning that I do.

And thanks to you Ken for bringing it to our attention.
