Disgusted with our home crowd this season. Worst fans in the country at home. Best Away. Not getting behind the team in the so called KOP where my ticket is. Creating little atmosphere to get behind the lads when they need us most. Fed up of having people sat around turning up each game booing waiting for the inevitable which is relegation. Why can we not be united as a club and get behind Pearson and the team and create am atmosphere at home which makes it intimidating for away teams. We will go down with our home form. Where has our KOP gone...?!?!?!?!?!

We've never had one since we left Filbert St.

We all knew this was going to a tough season which wasn't helped by Pearson's lack of activity in the summer and relying too heavily on those players that got us promoted. The history of the EPL tells us all of the massive gulf between the two divisions, only twice since the start of the EPL have there been two seasons when all three promote clubs stayed up. A simple fact there for ALL to see.

I think it's great to see a full house at every home game and had the Club got the talent to make our EPL status secure everyone would have been a great deal happier.

You need to move if you think we are the worst home fans in the league and your disgusted.

Slightly knee jerk and Hollywoodesque post id suggest?!

I'm peed off with the collective groan any time we make a mistake, that's the worst thing for the players to hear when they lack a bit of confidence. Sure we're disappointed but we need to show support. This is one of the reasons for an aimless long ball - too scared to try anything else in case they cause a 'groan'

and there is too much emphasis from the crowd to get the ball forward at the earliest opportunity. It just gives away possession when we may need a minute or toe to regain our composure. Sure, there are times when it's right but not every time. the players are so unused to keeping the ball that they have no idea how to make angles and space for each other.

The split of the crowd re singing does us no favours. I know that the area around the drum want to be near the opposition fans but the police are never going to allow the kop to be moved there so the best way forward is for everyone who wants to sing to congregate away from the opposition corner. old news but if we want to offer the best support we can to the team, it has to be done. If we just want to have a verbal barney every fortnight then that's also fine. Can't have both.

I have to agree we do get outsang a lot I sit in p2with the kids and sing and people around me seem disgusted I'm making noise

I moved from the family stand to the Kop with my lad for the same reason. Rest assured its pretty much the same. Its like Welford Road.

But dramatic, we're not the worst home fans, obviously you've never been Chelsea, Liverpool, arsenal, QPR, Stoke,

I think the point he is trying to make is everything against what you've just said.

Yes Pearson wasn't the most active in summer window but that shouldn't effect how you support the team. Last summer we didn't sign anyone but everyone managed to get behind the team didn't they? Yes there is a difference between the 2 leagues but this is also a team that has ran away with the championship last season so it wasn't like we luckily got promoted and needed to heavily invest throughout to stand a chance of survival. I have also cheered and made a noise for City with much shitter teams in the past that are wearing our colours atm.

Yes it is nice to see a full crowd at KP, good to see for fans and players and also good revenue for the club. But why do these people only come out the woodwork when we are running away with the league or in premier league? I know a lot that will jump on the bandwagon who doesn't even support Leicester!!

I personally feel we left our intimate atmosphere at Filbert Street and have never got it back! People say football has changed, to have an atmosphere were not suggesting fights have to break out week in week out but at least back the team and be intimidating for opposition. To be honest it's a little embarrassing down at the KP at time IMO, you'll have small little sections around the ground chanting and apart from that it's either people unwilling to show any kind of support or the odd person shouting something random.

Until the club works on this more then the sooner there might be a livelier atmosphere, why put a family stand next to away support is a clear example that the club are looking to keep the ground like a library! Switch the 'kop' with the family stand and hopefully there could be allocated standing too to create a livelier experience for the fans who want to make a noise

I'm not insisting that were the worst crowd in the league or posted this as a knee jerk reaction to yesterday either!

City fans have been good home and away this season, considering some of the pathetic performances and results.

Maybe you should visit more away grounds, and then tell me how poor we are.

Yesterday wasn't great, but tell me how the fans can get up for it, when the team performs like that.

We have backed them all season good and bad performances, but it's getting harder when we continue to keep performing like yesterday.

Went to each of them games. But if you're happy with our home fans then fair enough. I just think its embarassing

Liverpool, QPR and Chelsea supporters are far more quiet than Leicester at home. Liverpool were just an embarrassment to their club. They were more interested in taking selfies around the ground. Then flew back to what ever country they come from. I'd take our home fans over them any day

Not a person who wants to move because of plastic supporters like you Raj. Stood in same seat for 10 years atmosphere been great league 1 championship and now we finally get to our target and its abysmal. People like you coming down creating the happy clappy crap atmosphere

Again been to most away games this season. But if you're happy to not get behind team when they clearly need us then thats up to you. Even when the performance is a bit low thats when the players need us most getting behind trying to suck the ball into the net

Not many home supports are that good now, it's usually the away support of every team which makes more atmosphere, and also our home fans were expecting too much yesterday, I imagine most were just expecting us to show up and win yesterday.

Posted

The collective group of singing fans however we are playing disappeared when we left filbert St and was fragmented when much of the kop defected to be alongside the away fans.

Yesterday however was about not having much to sing about or not many occasions when we got a head of steam up to roar on. Stoke from the first kick kept the ball and kept us at arms length so that the least they were going to get was a 0-0. We were quiet because of this. But no booing and I feel we are together as a club.

Whereabouts are you in the Kop?

Listen I stand in l1 and back the team vocally every week, and every away game, so I need no encouragement from you.

More fool you for getting tickets in the kop, it's not been a kop since filbert street, either help out the lads in sk1 if you want to sing and get behind the players, or L or K blocks.

We cannot hear the kop due to the way the ground is and visa versa, but move into these areas and join in.

And to slag the away following off, I don't know what you expect, the whole away end sing for 90 minutes, and doing the conga, we are not great every week, but we make a lot of noise every week.

You talk like it's the fans fault we are shit, I enjoy the atmosphere, that's why I stand where I do, but when we play shit most weeks it's hard to keep the enthusiasm going.

It's not about being happy with it, most think that our atmos could do with vast improvements but stating we're the worst home fans in the country is fvcking stupid at very best!

Liverpool have an horrendously quiet home support to name one club, I don't think we're *that* bad. How many threads do we need about the atmosphere anyway?

I haven't made it to every match this season but is it only me then that thinks, despite some of the absolutely horrific performances the team have served up, our support in terms of positivity has been great on the whole?  :dunno:

PS for those getting misty eyed about Filbert Street, I recall that place having some of the quietest atmospheres I have ever heard.

Did you also think Konchesky was MOTM yesterday too?

I am willing to take back the statement that we are the 'worst'. However all i am trying to achieve is getting fans to get behind the team at all times. They need us. 10 years since Prem and we are going to let us go straight back down without a fight?
