Did you also think Konchesky was MOTM yesterday too?

Unfortunately I wasn't there yesterday as I was away but tuned in to listen.  Sounds as if nobody deserved the MOTM.  Bad day at the office for all concerned.  Other results haven't left us adrift.  On to the next match

It's all been said before , but the seating killed it , yeah ok it's safer but the whole fun of the day was being passed from pillar to post scoring a goal and it being completely mayhem , not knowing how you ended up 15 yards from where you last were , the banter from sk2 to sk1 where the away fans were made you outsing them , it's just not the same these days So until they take the seats away and put the fans right next to us in terms of location the atmosphere won't change and you won't get the days of noise back , the whole point was not to be outsung whatever game it was it was loud I thought a short time ago they had petitioned the club for standing areas so there was some hope but I've not heard anything since , it's just not the same and it's very quiet these days compared to how it used to be ! I wish someone with high authority at the club reads this but I doubt it ?

I am willing to take back the statement that we are the 'worst'. However all i am trying to achieve is getting fans to get behind the team at all times. They need us. 10 years since Prem and we are going to let us go straight back down without a fight?

The Kop will never be bouncing as one.If your that pissed of you'll have to move, simple as that.

Not a person who wants to move because of plastic supporters like you Raj. Stood in same seat for 10 years atmosphere been great league 1 championship and now we finally get to our target and its abysmal. People like you coming down creating the happy clappy crap atmosphere

I was standing ON SEATS in pen 2 when there were atmospheres at grounds and was£6 to get in.This is modern football....move to SK1 or L1 or fook off!

I disagree we're the worst at home and disagree we're the best away. We over-rate ourselves away. Sometimes it's great but it's often pretty flat once the game kicks off. At home it's still not good enough but having been to 9 away games this season I'd certainly be sticking our ground in the top half in terms of atmosphere. It's a cultural thing now. English grounds have the worst atmosphere in Europe.

Not many home supports are that good now, it's usually the away support of every team which makes more atmosphere, and also our home fans were expecting too much yesterday, I imagine most were just expecting us to show up and win yesterday.

I agree with that based on what's been said post-match. Laughable really considering Stoke are an established Premier League side who in about 7 years I don't remember ever once being in a proper relegation battle. They're comfortably better than shite like Villa & Newcastle.

Could I make a suggestion please?

Could we move the kop and family stand? Swap them with each other?

think this needs to be done...Suprised its never been mentioned before!

I haven't made it to every match this season but is it only me then that thinks, despite some of the absolutely horrific performances the team have served up, our support in terms of positivity has been great on the whole?  :dunno:

PS for those getting misty eyed about Filbert Street, I recall that place having some of the quietest atmospheres I have ever heard.

All they ever sang was the stupid ei ei ei o song.filbo was basically a shithole with only 2 stands. Atmosphere in the early 80s was electric at times but only because of the fights.

I read threads here a lot but don't normally post, however one thing that does annoy me is the plastic fan or armchair fan argument. Some of us had to move away from Leicester for work, some of us maybe twice a year if lucky get to come back to see family and yet cus we don't go to every game we are plastic or armchair fans.

I would love to go to every game, nothing I would love more, season ticket would be the first thing I would buy if I didn't have to work. Some of us try our best, I work every weekend, have been able to arrange a split shift so apart from first half hour I can listen to every game on foxes player then watch later on the sky select a match thing.

Get to come to about 2 or 3 games a year, don't tell family as that's more than I get to go see them but when I do your looking at a good £180 a pop with time off, fuel, car parking food and tickets etc, add to that the sky sub I have for that one reason only and my foxes player and a dongle to listen at work, I would be cheaper to get season ticket and go every week if lived there still, I wear my Leicester jacket, fleece and shirt when warmer all the time with pride but I'm just a plastic armchair fan.

Also so what if not every fan wants to go and sing, there are quiet people that want to go watch a game too, people from all walks of life and people who sit on their own quiet, I know I do if I go on my own and don't know anyone, also it's a nice break away from the norm.

Just wanted to post that some of us do all we can or feel comfortable doing, just cus we are not a stand up singer we are still fans and support the club and team too

Liverpool have an horrendously quiet home support to name one club, I don't think we're *that* bad. How many threads do we need about the atmosphere anyway?

Yes, this is true. New Years Day all they did was sang YNWA before kick off and that was it.

Chelsea wasn't any better.

I can't jump up and down too much as my blanket falls off and then it knocks my flask over so I just sit and watch most the time.

Don't know if anybody is watching West Ham v Hull but I haven't heard one chant in the last 25 minutes.

Two league wins at home all season, a lot of other clubs fans would be burning effigies, raping and pillaging by now,.....actually judging from the last home game against Villa, they already are :D

They weren't all that when we played them. After the initial 'bubbles' shite, they were quiet until they scored. Similar to Liverpool really.

Yep, was very disappointed in Liverpool but it's not surprising as they have a lot of 'day trippers', they make a big deal out of YNWA but it clearly wears them out for the rest of the game.

Sick of these threads with people moaning about atmosphere.

Move as close as you can to L/K/J or SK1, get involved and contribute where there are like minded fans. It's not rocket science.

They are the most atmospheric sections of the ground even if it's not to the standard of an away section.

Went to each of them games. But if you're happy with our home fans then fair enough. I just think its embarassing

The South Stand is embarrassing at times. Most of it is very quiet bar the lads in SK1 who generally give it a good go.

It's difficult for me to judge the atmosphere at the KP compared to other PL grounds, because I don't frequent them as a home fan.

It is easier to judge it against home crowds at Leicester in the past though, and if you filter out nostalgia, I think it is as good as it has been at any other time apart from the O'Neill days.

We sing a variety of songs and some of the new ones are pretty atmospheric and go on for a while.  The drum also adds to this in my opinion.

So it really isn't that bad.

Just imagine how it will sound with the whole of KOP joining in though, it would be like an away game every week...

When I used to go in the Kop in the O'Neill days we used to say the same.  You could occasionally hear the East Stand but rarely anything from the West Stand.

It takes something pretty special now to get the whole ground going, and it has been the same for the 25 years I have been going down.

So it's probably an unreasonable expectation and not worth beating ourselves up over.
