Jamie Woods10 Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Hiya good folks of Leicester. You may remember last month I asked if anyone fancied giving their views on Leicester's home game with Spurs to go on our site. Is there anyone who fancies doing likewise for Saturday's FA Cup tie at White Hart Lane? We are not the kind of site that slags the opposition off just for the sake of it. If any Leicester fan fancies giving their views we are looking for your thoughts on the following? Why do you feel Leicester have improved since our Boxing Day clash? Leicester fans on here were understandable down before that meeting and quite pessimistic about your chances of staying up but you deserved to beat Spurs that day and have quite clearly improved since then. What do you feel your chances are at our place in the FA Cup? With a score prediction, please? Are you going? Is that young Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric going to make a big difference to your chances of pulling clear of trouble? Finally, in memories of past games with Spurs? Or if you hate us - tell us - no problem at all. I'll put a link up to a similar piece from Sheffield United fans and from your fans from before. st albans fox Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Depends which Tottenham turn up - the one which played last night or he one which played against Chelsea. I think that has more to do with it than who or how we play. Mind you - if the same leicester team arrives that played against Stoke (mentally and physically) you could play your masters team and win comfortably!
The Doctor Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 I reckon we'll win, we've got better since boxing day, mostly due to confidence I reckon, and Kramaric looks a bright spark. Depends what spurs side turns up though, I can't think of a more bipolar team other than us. Hate spurs, but my other half is an arsenal fan so it's mostly out of obligation
filbertway Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 I love how no teams have peaks and troughs aside from us and Spurs.
Jamie Woods10 Posted 22 January 2015 Author Posted 22 January 2015 It will be interesting to see both managers approach this FA Cup tie. I suspect Nigel Pearson will field your strongest team because you are not in action until the following week at Old Trafford. Pochettino is likely to use a similar team as last night. If Adebayor plays it will be in Leicester's favour because he is almost universally loathed after his recent antics. Will your new forward play?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Like to think Kramaric will play. It's a good chance to blood him against Premiership opposition (regardless of whether a weakened team gets put out, Spurs are a club who can field a complete 2nd XI that would be recognisably Premiership standard) in a match that isn't vital. I'll be disappointed if he's not starting.
Benguin Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 For me, this is a really important tie. We have been bottom of the table for a while and it wasn't until recently that we found the correct quality to earn points. We now have a new player who we are all praying is as good as 'on paper' suggests and I believe this tie will give Nigel and Andrej's colleagues the chance to understand how he fits in with the dynamics of the team. If we get it right we could leave spurs optimistic and ready to continue the uphill climb from safety. While the 5th round is not 3 points, it is confidence and practice if you like. I quite like Spurs and tend to follow them when Leicester aren't their competition. Very impressed with Kane, wish he was that good while we had him on Loan.
sylofox Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Hate spurs and would shed no tears if they went down the pan. After one tried to stab me through a temporary fence at villa park in the fa cup semi. Hard fvcker he must have been trying to stab someone queing up to use the bogs at HT
weller54 Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 2-0 Spurs... Really don't care two hoots about this game!.. Fa Cup is such a devalued competition nowadays!.... Ps.. Hope Sheffield United go through with a 2-0 win in the second leg of the League Cup!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 My memories of Spurs: Iversen De Vries
ScouseFox Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 used to really like spurs when kappa made their kits. downhill since then really.
Kitchandro Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Why do you feel Leicester have improved since our Boxing Day clash? Leicester fans on here were understandable down before that meeting and quite pessimistic about your chances of staying up but you deserved to beat Spurs that day and have quite clearly improved since then. Have we? We were unlucky against you in that match. We were the better team. We were similarly unlucky against Liverpool in the 2-2 draw and got an undeserved win at Hull. After the Newcastle cup game we've had two games where we got what we deserved. We've tightened up a bit at the back perhaps, statistically, but I'm not sure there's anything in that, we're still vulnerable and prone to cock ups. We've not improved or regressed since boxing day, we're either the Leicester that turns up or the Leicester that doesn't. What do you feel your chances are at our place in the FA Cup? With a score prediction, please? Are you going? We've got a moderate chance. You'll rest players, for us it won't matter as much because the players we leave on the bench in league games are often better than the ones we start with, plus we don't seem to have all that many options. The distraction of the cup will be a blessing for a group of players badly under pressure. Of course, if we turn up like we don't a la last Saturday we've got no chance. Is that young Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric going to make a big difference to your chances of pulling clear of trouble? I hope so, nothing else is. Finally, in memories of past games with Spurs? Or if you hate us - tell us - no problem at all The only match I've ever been to against Spurs was a 1-0 defeat at Filbert Street around 2000. I did watch the 3-2 cup match on tele though, remember it well.

broughtonblue Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 I'm having a few £'s on us at 4/1 Always quite liked Spurs, had a reputation as a flair side in the 80's!
Jamie Woods10 Posted 22 January 2015 Author Posted 22 January 2015 Thanks lads even to the poor fella who got stabbed. Cowardly act.
