Ian Haggarty Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Short answer is.. TOO MANY !!! I hear one is about to leave (Taylor Fetcher) So what does Nigel do? He gets another. Our defence is in need of skillfull players who can defend. So why add to the "Donkeys" He obviously thinks the defenders we have are OK? As I am watching it from the bottom of the world in the land of Oz maybe it's me thats got it wrong Maybe I am watching a different side to him. As a supporter for 63 years all I can say is: I am glad I am not spending my money each week to watch them play. Up the City. PS Unfortunately most teams are doing just that "Putting it right up the City"
AKCJ Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We've got 9. Of which one is on loan and two haven't even played this season,
Mark_w Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 As I am watching it from the bottom of the world in the land of Oz maybe it's me thats got it wrong I don't think it's that you're from Oz, it's just that you're being a bit irrational. How you've come to the conclusion that Pearson is happy with the defence when he's just signed an experienced Premier League CB who Stoke fans are suggesting would probably be a started if it wasn't for his previous injury issues, I don't know. But you're very wrong. Most of our over 30 year old players are squad players who are just adding their experience off the pitch, while some of those playing, like Was and Cambiasso have done fairly well so far this season. Their age is irrelevant really.
lcfcsnow Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I still have nightmares of what happened last time we were in the Prem
shailen Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Why is age even an issue? Lampard is 36 and still plays at a high level. Giggs played till he was 40. If the players are good enough they play, regardless of their age.
Ian Haggarty Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 No disrespect intended to the Manager but I ask this question of him. Are you capable of getting this current team to play football?? I MEAN PROPER FOOTBALL?? If we supporters have to watch our team get beaten then at least let us get beaten the way Southampton wre beaten by Swansea. As a lover of the game I thought that was a fantastic game to watch. One team defending as though there was no tomorrow. The other team attacking with skill & speed. The Southampton Fans & the Manager must have been pulling their hair out at the end. But at least they watched the "Saints" get defeated playing football. It reminded me of the days of "Weller" & "Worthington" We had the best team "Never to win anything" Great football and worth every penny to watch week in week out. Week in week out Our fans have to watch the "Foxes" put 3 or 4 passes together then Oick the ball downfield. Most of the time we don't put 3 passes together. Here is a tip to the "Manager" Stop buying players who are 30 or 30+ We have 6 on our books already. Instead of wasting wages on 4 or 5 Free or Loan players who are past their prime. Start spending some money serious money on 2 or 3 good players and build a team around them. I remember the first game I watched Aurther Rowley was the centre forward. I also remember hearing those dreaded words the first time Leicester City got relagated. "Oh well there's always next year" "Up the City"
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Season before last "we've got too many young players, we need experience". Pearson corrects the balance "we've got too many old players we need more youngsters". Take out the ridiculously aged reserve keeper and our average squad age is no different to most of the premier league.
Itsthejoeker Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Had they discovered paragraphs 50 years ago?

So which one of our 30yr olds are as good as Giggs & Lampard.C'mon let's not get too one eyed.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Had they discovered paragraphs 50 years ago? I thought it was song lyrics, I was singing it all to myself.

See, I think this is where you are going wrong... you seem to be expecting Leicester City to have players of the calibre of those that play for Manchester United, Chelsea and Man city.
Ian Haggarty Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 Had they discovered paragraphs 50 years ago? . Got your attention

Itsthejoeker Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 . Got your attention It was hard not to when your post spans the length of my browser "up the city"
Ian Haggarty Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 The one who's the second most decorated Argentinian player ever? That's one. Any more??
Ian Haggarty Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 It was hard not to when your post spans the length of my browser "up the city" At the moment thats exactly what the other teams in the league are doing. Putting it "Up the City"
Itsthejoeker Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 That's one. Any more?? Do tell how you believe the team resting at the bottom of the premiership, is supposed to attract anyone as good as Giggs and Scholes, be it over 30's or 20 year olds.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 There was an old man from Australia, who hated our bunch of aging failures. His paragraph construction was terrible, like Pearson's tactics one dimensional. He's supported us for 63 years, lets hope 63 again 'til he reappears.
Itsthejoeker Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 At the moment thats exactly what the other teams in the league are doing. Putting it "Up the City" I honestly don't think you've watched a game this season, there aren't many teams who have put it "up the city".
Captain... Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 What a pointless thread especially when our most consistent players have probably been Cambiasso and Was. Age is not relevant to our current plight we are not building for our future we are fighting to survive this season and an experienced centre half could be more beneficial than a wonder kid.
Fox92 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I still have nightmares of what happened last time we were in the Prem Well that's wrong because Dublin was still at Villa last time we were in the Premier League. Keown was still at Arsenal, too.

You aren't the author of Logan's Run are you?
