very worrying when gary lineker Leicester born and bred..fan..player for club and country gets criticised...appears that pearson really can do no wrong

Worrying? Get a grip man. If he wants to wade into something publicly then he opens himself up to criticism.

Adams did a great job that season getting us back up but he had a great spine with Elliott, Izzet and Deane and Dickov through the middle.

Pearsons team is certainly more attractive to watch though.

Not sure we made too much of a fight of staying up either from memory, a bit like this season we always seemed a couple of wins behind the eight ball.

Looks like my second post went over your head as well! Just leave it there......you're still in denial!

And you're being absurd - You claimed it was obvious he was sacked, Harry asked for evidence, you've refused to supply it and are no claiming he missed your point. So go on, explain why - is this one of these post-modernist ironic statements that is supposed to be funny despite containing no humour what so ever.

I've seen plenty of hoofball under Pearson this season and when he was first here.

except he's not really picking fights with anyone. people are picking fights with him and he's either defending his team and himself (stringer, radio leicester etc) or telling them how it is, both he and mccarthy are fine with whatever happened so why try and make a story out of nothing?

he gets asked questions about it, he'd get just as much stick if he said "no comment" or something similar. motd really did make a mountain out of a molehill, pearson is right.

I don't think Lineker was picking fights with anyone. He's a pundit on a football programme. That's his job and he said it how he saw it. I agreed. Especially the grabbing hold of the shirt bit.

So there was no 'fight', there was an opinion, from a pundit first and foremost and a City fan.

Pearson's words "I can look after myself" were also strange. What did this imply?

I've been listening to the radio a lot today and I've not heard a single person state that there was nothing in it. They've also pretty much said Nige has been daft in not explaining himself.

But Lineker picked no fight at all. Pearson retaliated in a childish way really and again, he's picking the wrong people to do so with.

yes he does I agree but lineker is also a fan and cares about his club

Please tell me what has Nigel done wrong in this scenario? He didn't start any rumours surrounding him losing his job and he never speaks about club business to the media. They are all hounding him and as usual he hasn't given them an ounce of material to work with. He's not a media darling so they are out to get him.

Utter rubbish, baby boy!

He should be bring far more responsible being a lifetime board member to spread inside information across the World for all to see.

Doesn't mean it's not more attractive. I've also seen us absolutely destroy teams with sublime football while Pearson's been here. Let's not take away the good job either have done. IMO though Pearson is a better manager than MA and has achieved just as much if not more.

Oh my God. Did you really just say that? Please tell me you didnt mean it.

Thats one way to lose ALL credibility.

lol

I didn't say it, I wrote it. If that means I lose all credibility with the Pearson appreciation society (who only agree with people that kiss up to Nigel Pearson anyway) then so be it, I couldn't give a monkeys left testicle if I'm being honest with you.

Never going to be anything else really. Reporters asking about a situation that was reported as fact that appears never to have taken place.

Exactly..Reporter tried to get away with s cheeky quip yesterday, maybe totally misinterpreted some statement, then blew it

up, more than needed, then small time sky reporter ran away with it....This happens too much in all walks of life, poor jounalism

make their own rumours, then stays a media fact, to stoke up future reporting, though quite often....a spotty alcholic journalists

trying to impress.

Do you think he would have done Matt if Pearson hadn't made the 'fountain of Knowledge' statement? As I said, Pearson needs to pick his fights? Do you not agree?

If you say so. Everything is a mirage. NP has denied it in several interviews when asked. Sounds like you're in denial as well.

Now thats just childish.

It's far more unprofessional to talk about the inner dealings of an organisation you're involved with than to make a dig at someone like Pearson did.

I don't agree with some on here that Lineker is beyond criticism. He's been unprofessional in the extreme.

I don't mind to be honest ... your post sounded like you thought she was 27 and i corrected you.

There's no need for the keyboard warrior antics. But to be fair it's the first time I've been called a little man, so that bit made me smile.

I'm guessing you're about 15??

lol  Surely he's not that old?

Pearson is clearly a spiky character who has a different view to others on certain incidents. He may well have felt he was doing nothing wrong and having a joke with McArthur (who has tweeted that it wasn't a huge deal) and the media, who let's be honest love a juicy story and to twist things, saw it differently.

Now, I don't think he should be getting involved in incidents and arguments, it's probably for the best if he sits in the stands for the rest of the season, out of the view and scrutiny so we can concentrate on the football. Pearson is in the firing line, partly for the recent incidents and mostly for the fact he's not a media darling who'll answer their calls at any time for a cosy chat, and he needs to take himself out of it.

your weird, where does this vibe come from that people who back Pearson, or others who disredit vile comments on the manager or team players, have major problems.

If you dont give a monkeys...then let it ride.

So we arent has good as many would of hoped, why is it then feed them to the lions and crucifiction time.

FFS its only sport.

Yes he shouldn't have said it. I agree. But he wouldn't have done so. He'd have said nothing if he didn't feel provoked. That's what I'm saying.

Course not. But it's an absolutely ridiculous thing to do in response.

Making a sly dig in response to NP I can live with, airing confidential secrets from fellow directors to the World is beyond reproach, it's so unprofessional it's hard to understand.

How could anyone at City ever speak to Gary in a confidential manner again about anything important if they wanted to?

Best manager in the last 15 years? You mean apart from Mickey Adams? Are you seriously calling me a Premier League part time willy puller? I've been a season ticket holder for the past 18 years you turd and I've definitely been to many more games then your average Leicester fan, and that probably means you. I witnessed the O'Neill era, and yes I was there when we were sh#t week in week out. You need to get your facts right before throwing around insults and accusations like that you clown.

All the kids? Yeah, the kids who've had to sit through mediocre second division shit and actually like a manager who ended that and brought some exciting promotion battles.

You, I and many others have had the priviledge of growing up watching far better teams and days than this. Don't blame the kids for liking someone whose been the best of their supporting time. So one fan said he was the best in thirty years? Probably wasn't a kid then.

That's the problem. They don't know what a good manager is like.
