Dan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Regardless of who it is, that's poor from Lineker to tweet that. That's Stringer-esque. I thought he was a lot better than that.
fatboytim Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Seems to me that the real culprits in this whole debacle are not getting any of the blame. Forget Lineker, Pearson, Stringer, Dorsett, Top and Vichai....they are all blameless. The real culprits are those managers whose teams have been beating us on a fairly regular basis this season - after all, if we were top of the league there'd have been no speculation over Pearson's future; and a certain player called Mcarthur because if she hadn't fallen over there'd be no stranglegate and hence no controversy.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Everyone thinks the fans are in turmoil. I've been discussing this with friends and family over dinner and none of us screamed at each other, were rude to each other or started a punch up. It's microcosmic on here of what the media do/are doing. It's all becoming a huge issue and a problem for the fans because people on here are making it one.
l444ry Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 So, you know that nigel was sacked despite him saying he wasn't and despite nigel is not a man who will let himself be messed around (see post 09/10) - but you won't (can't?) provide the evidence. Only one person is deluded/in denial here and it's you. News to me and everyone else I think! Best bone up on the issue before joining in the argument.
Brooksy Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Dear me! Tut. tut! tut! Never has the term 'fvck off and die' been more applicable.
Dr The Singh Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Our club and Pearson is a joke and a laughing stock. I'm ashamed of what happened last night
ScouseFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Regardless of who it is, that's poor from Lineker to tweet that. That's Stringer-esque. I thought he was a lot better than that. yeah i was thinking that. i'd have no problem with lineker responding, if someone had a little dig at me and my job i'd have a dig back, whether they were part of the team i support or not. but the comment he made was ridiculous. imagine if it had been stringer who'd said it.
Buzzell Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Bit of a cuntish thing to tweet really. Thought he would of know better, same with Pearson also.
Sir Fynwy Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It's getting boring having a go at Nigel, Gary and the owners, when can we start slagging off Sepp Smith and Arthur Rowley?
RowlattsFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 At least we can go back to talking about how shit our team is tomorrow night.
The Doctor Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 News to me and everyone else I think! Best bone up on the issue before joining in the argument. You said yourself he had denied it. Nigel hasn't said that he's been sacked. Now, stop acting like a prat, what evidence do you have that nigel was sacked then bought back.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 You said yourself he had denied it. Nigel hasn't said that he's been sacked. Now, stop acting like a prat, what evidence do you have that nigel was sacked then bought back. Wonder what did happen? Very bizarre night. SKY even had 'Pearson sacked' plastered over their screens. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.
Dickov22 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I ike Pearson, but he should have apologised for the McArthur incident today whilst he had the chance. Nip it in the bud Nige. Felt sorry for him with all the questions about his job though. He must have had this more than any other manager has since he came back to us 3 years ago. Can't be easy
The Doctor Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Wonder what did happen? Very bizarre night. SKY even had 'Pearson sacked' plastered over their screens. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. The most reasonable guess I've heard is a misunderstanding - given an ultimatum or he'd be sacked and sky took that as a sacking. Unlikely we'll ever actually know.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Dangerous Tiger..did I really read your post earlier today? Last night you said 'Thank God he's going'..today you said I'm happy he's staying.. Did I read that right and if so, why the change of opinion overnight? You've not answered the question DT?
l444ry Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 You said yourself he had denied it. Nigel hasn't said that he's been sacked. Now, stop acting like a prat, what evidence do you have that nigel was sacked then bought back. Tut Tut! Never said any such thing in the context you are trying to imply. Thanks for the personal insult though...very classy!
shade Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I don't mind to be honest ... your post sounded like you thought she was 27 and i corrected you. There's no need for the keyboard warrior antics. But to be fair it's the first time I've been called a little man, so that bit made me smile. I'm guessing you're about 15?? come on man, all I was doing was slamming a seedy old lecherous man, minding my own business! you were the one who wittily tried to tear me down, I accept your apology though.
Ian S Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Our club and Pearson is a joke and a laughing stock. I'm ashamed of what happened last night As you seem to be referring to last night, what exactly did our manager do wrong.?
The Doctor Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Tut Tut! Never said any such thing in the context you are trying to imply. Thanks for the personal insult though...very classy! You said, and I quote: NP has denied it in several interviews when asked. Provide the context then.
Ric Flair Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Pearson won't say sorry even if he'd killed McArthur. We've always loved Nigel's no nonsense approach but when things are going wrong he can be horribly pig headed. I'm fairly certain his days are numbered as I foresee a toxic environment developing and no happy ending. Whether it happens this week or 8 weeks, I don't think he'll see out the season and for that reason I hope he's gone very soon. He's lost his sparkle, we have been far too naive this season and his tactics have perplexed me. His failure to address our inability to defend and attack set pieces is simply unacceptable. This has been a big problem for his whole tenure. Our defensive frailties have surprised me, I assumed as an ex-defender he'd have work as hard as possible to get this area water tight. He seems to think playing 3-4 strikers is how to win games which I've seldom seen work at top level. Our severe lack of goals highlights this, couple that with embarrassing errors at the back and it's grim viewing. Time to go.
l444ry Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 You said, and I quote: Provide the context then. Read the thread for yourself. You won't agree whatever I say so just move on.
lifted*fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Before the match of the day boost would a 27-odd year old girl have been interested in a 47-odd year old crisp peddler? what would you think if your dad binned your ma off because he wanted a piece of snatch 20 years younger than him? i'm sorry, it looks creepy and desperate. you've got old and wrinkled, get over it and do it gracefully. Somebody's jealous they can't get the young puss puss...
The Doctor Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Read the thread yourself. So, it should be obvious in a discussion about whether or not he was sacked first, you sining he denied it shouldn't be taken as him denying it?
shade Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Somebody's jealous they can't get the young puss puss... what, with a face like this?
lifted*fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 what, with a face like this? It's memorizing. A blank canvas if you will.
