Mark_w Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Why aren't they as good as nigel pearson? They achieved the same. At least paul jewell kept Wigan up though. They HAVEN'T ALL achieved the same, because Nigel Pearson consistently gets sides challenging in and around the top 6, plenty of those listed are one hit wonders.
Benjani Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 They HAVEN'T ALL achieved the same, because Nigel Pearson consistently gets sides challenging in and around the top 6, plenty of those listed are one hit wonders. Hahahahha. Oh dear. Paul jewell kept wigan up! Don't think the king nigel is going to do the same. Paul jewell what a great manager for winning the championship
Finn Claw II Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I don't mind McCarthy or Hughton, at a push mowbray. Mackay, Keane, Warnock - personality issues I guess who in the premier league is a 'good' manager outside of the top 4? Allardyce, Pulis, Martinez (ish), Pardew? Who has consistently kept a side in the top flight?
Benjani Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 Which he was why he was slashing it.... How was he slashing it? We had the second highest wage bill in the league last Season
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 **** me that's an interesting list
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Slashing a budget I've heard it all now. We had the second highest wage bill behind qpr. Are you seriously denying Pearson was slashing a budget? I'd check again as well if you think we were second in the division last year.
Mark_w Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 How was he slashing it? We had the second highest wage bill in the league last Season Yes, but he had got the likes of Beckford, Mills, Danns etc. off the wage bill and recouped some of the money wasted on them, while replacing those players with cheaper alternatives.
Ian S Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Its not just about last season, many of those listed were effectively one season wonders.Pearsons excellent overall record at Leicester is over a number of seasons and for me that sets him apart from most of them.
ScouseFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 probs the most interesting list i've read today tbf
Benjani Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 Are you seriously denying Pearson was slashing a budget? I'd check again as well if you think we were second in the division last year. So what team paid more in wages than us other than qpr?
foxfanazer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Hahahahha. Oh dear. Paul jewell kept wigan up! Don't think the king nigel is going to do the same. Paul jewell what a great manager for keeping Wigan up

foxfanazer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 probs the most interesting list i've read today tbfNah I read a list of the top ten foods that are a bad for Cholesterol earlier. It was a belter!
Benjani Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 I've had to have a sit down it's knocked me back how interesting it is U stand up while reading foxestalk? Weirdo
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 So what team paid more in wages than us other than qpr? On the preliminary accounts Wigan were certainly higher, still had most on PL contracts and didn't get rid of many, Birmingham had a ridiculously high bill considering the daft twats couldn't offload Zigics 80k a week. Boltons debt accumulated by more than ours over the 12 months whilst Reading and Forest weren't far off by the looks of it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Benjani - why do you have no time for a man who has worked a minor miracle at our club? Do you think the Levein / Kelly / Allen / Megson / Holloway / Sousa / Sven eras were a dream and Pearson is genuinely the worst we could do? Do you not think he deserves the season after giving you arguably the best campaign you'll ever have in your lifetime of supporting Leicester?
ScouseFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Cheers. So why is nigel such a good manager? Can anyone actually answer. i'd say the most interesting part is that 3 of the surnames get capitalised? can you explain why? i'm genuinely interested. (no joke) (well maybe a joke lols) U stand up while reading foxestalk? Weirdo Benjani - why do you have no time for a man who has worked a minor miracle at our club? No because He isn't a premiership manager like those in the 'interesting list' i just don't think he's as great as manager as people make out.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Here's another interesting list... Milk Tea Choccy Hob Nobs A tin of tuna Pasta sauce 6 pack of Ready Salted (Walkers) Bananas, for the kids packed lunch.
Zapp Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 an interesting list 18th 15th 16th 19th 22nd remember how bad it was. appreciate what you have. think about whats best long term.
funkyrobot Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Cheers. So why is nigel such a good manager? Can anyone actually answer. What do you class as a good manager? That might help people answer your question mate.
Benjani Posted 9 February 2015 Author Posted 9 February 2015 What do you class as a good manager? That might help people answer your question mate. For starters a good manager is someone who can tell paul Konchesky isn't a premiership left back. A good manager is someone who rectifies an awful defence, having the balls to drop a captain who has been at fault for many goals this season. A good manager would play a striker he recommended to the board to pay £10 million for.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 No because He isn't a premiership manager like those in the 'interesting list' i just don't think he's as great as manager as people make out. But why the vitriol? Were you saying all this after the United game?
