Honestly..who can defend Pearson now

he must be well aware of the criticisms from pundits and fans a-like. He either doesn't listen because he's not very open minded, or he doesn't want to listen because he thinks he's a cut above and 'Nige knows best'. Can't put my finger on it either way.

You make it sound like fans and pundits have come to some sort of consensus on how to win matches, and that's nonsense. We are constantly bickering amongst ourselves about every single player and formation. Just because Nigel doesn't make the changes you want doesn't mean he's too stubborn to make changes. He put De Laet back in an played Schlupp as a wing back which tons of our fans have been calling for.

But frankly, why on earth should Nigel Pearson listen to you? You're a fan on a message board who almost certainly has no football qualifications, no experience of football management, nowhere near the level of sucess he has had. If Nigel Pearson was consulting you rather than many of the people in the game he knows who have had some success, then I would personally be very, very worried. You're a fan on a message board, you're not Alex Ferguson, none of us are. Feel free to say what you would do in the situation but please don't suggest that a trained professional who has won the Championship aquiring 102 points should be listening to Foxes Talk, because it's just a bit silly.

lol  Wowsers, we have won 4 times ALREADY, by MARCH. Is that a string of results? If he's learnt from those 4 wins why is there considerably distance between them? I don't understand your point?

Sorry, I should say - He's been making the same mistakes almost all season.

By your logic, if you're making the same mistakes all season as a manager, how come you're winning then?

See the flaw in your theory?

Your clearly on the wind up. Four games, four games of which two were very lucky and could be argued strongly he got the team and tactics wrong as we were to be fair, a long way 2nd best and got very lucky. (Sorry if that doesnt fit in with your 'we've had no luck all season defence')

So you two acknowledge and accept the concept of "luck" and - vice versa - "bad luck"?

All I wanted to hear, thanks.

Are you completely insane?

Yes, that you are.

I'm all fine and dandy, thanks for asking.

How about coming up with something more substantiated in terms of riposte? For example, why you think Pearson "hasn't even been close to acceptable this season"?

Football is a pretty simple game. Would you say any qualifications he has have helped us a great deal, would we have been worse if he didnt have them? Are you also saying, hypothetically that 30000+ fans, i they were given this season and group of players, none of us would have done better, irrelevant whether we have a framed A4 sheet of paper on the wall? Of course he cant listen to all fans, too many opinions, but he should have the ability to know what works and what doesnt and have plans to change it rather than simply making the same mistakes all season.

MC MUST be a wum...he can't believe what he's writing surely?

It's been the same gubbins all season...

lol lol

lol I will second that, just keeps going in an attempt for you to lose the will to live, therefore I'm sure he thinks his points are more valid and he's won the argument/ debate, because you can't be arsed to reply, defo wum.

"He hasn't even been close to acceptable this season" in comparison to what exactly? In what relation? What do you use as a basis to judge this manager? And what were your expectations?

Maybe that'll serve us as a starting point for an interesting debate...

At the start of the season you said;

10th would be an absolute achievement, head says anything but one of the three relegation spots.

Given our squad and knowing that a few so-called established Premier League sides are likely to struggle a lot this season, I'll settle for 12th. :)

All this crap that Pearson will "learn" about managing in the Premiership next time round.

First of all he probably won't get us up next season and secondly he's been in management for 17 years. It's fair to say he's probably not going to get any better.

I love the way he accuses over half of the forum of being wrong as they are just 'fans on a message board' and know nothing, yet he believes his own statements like they are written in stone and signed by Pearson himself to be fact. I know in real life he must be a pretty pathetic person, probably with little man syndrome.

Ugh well based on him taking over a mid-table Championship side with average overpaid Championship players and taking it into the Premier League and earning us a shit load of money in the process I'd have to go with 'yes'.

Edit: Didn't read that entirely properly, but yes I still think he will have benefited from that process.

Google 'Premier league table'. No further evidence required your honor.

We are bottom of the league and incapable of winning football matches. Pearson is yet to identify his best team and system to match and a vast majority of the players he has signed have been poor, and I haven't even scratched the surface yet and what I have said is enough reason to believe that his managerial performance has been unacceptable this season without diving any deeper. The "we have been unlucky" argument is nonsensical, you make your own luck and that is supported by the fact that for a majority of the season we have approached games negatively and have been appalling as a result. There is no logical argument to defend Pearson.

lol  I love you Webbo, many a cooont on here was spouting shit like that and now Pearson has fooked up, making excuses
