Mjeb Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 I was with my Mum and Dad for mothers day as most were yesterday . He is 84 but has supported leicester all his life like me . We sell both go when we can , but used go to most home games We got onto the subject of Leicester as usual , ( We both thought Pearon was the right manager with what he has done on the pitch and most importantly off the pitch for the future around the club / training facilities , youth and the accadermy . My dad saiid it's the Managers job to improve the team , change the team if need be and the tactics and formation to get results In that one sentence I changed my mind my mind about Pearon yesterday !! My dad also said Pearson is letting the club and the fans down with his stubborn aditude with the press and team players and formation. IT was simple , and he is right . Let's get a it fight back again 442 and go for , look at Villa , who we thought were worse than us , we should have changed Pearson got some passion back in. Up the city
Wilson_6 Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 I've always been pro Pearson but this does make sense to me. Maybe it is time we changed manager.
cc_star Posted 16 March 2015 Posted 16 March 2015 What's 442 got to do with anything? most of the games we've played it we've lost by the odd goal. There hasn't been a problem in creating chances, but our defence was constantly under pressure from lack of midfield cover meaning the inevitable error or two would end up leading to a goal. Stubborn attitude with formation? With all due respect, what a load of absolute bollocks, we've done everything this season, tweaked here, changed there, etc on top of etc... apart from the one thing we should have done from the start.... 4231, two defensive midfielders allowing the fullbacks to bomb forward, without sacrificing defensive cover for the CB pairing that has seen us exposed time, time & time again this season. We have an attacking 4 in this formation and we have a defensive 4.... and depending on the ebb & flow of the game you have the 2 fullbacks either chipping in at the back or pushing forward at the front. There's lots of shoulda, woulda, coulda about other factors but at the end of the day if you're outnumbered in the middle you're on a hiding to nothing from the start & you're never going to take a hold of the game Arguably he's not been stubborn enough and there have been too many changes, all of which messed up the successful partnerships that were formed in a record-breaking campaign. I will agree however that it's the manager's job to improve the team changing whatever needs changing, but every change I've seen has made us worse & not better and it's that that indicates to me that Pearson isn't doing his job, even though a few of those points there is mitigating circumstances
cc_star Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 Just. Play. Hammond. It's precisely as simple as that
les-tah Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 Just. Play. Hammond. It's precisely as simple as that I don't understand how people think bringing Elvis Hammond back to Leicester City will change things, just shows the fans no nothing.
Merging Cultures Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 I don't understand how people think bringing Elvis Hammond back to Leicester City will change things, just shows the fans no nothing. Well, it's obvious. Elvis Hammond clearly hasn't caused our string of poor results this season, so we need him in the team.
Strokes Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 We should blood the youth, starting with James pearon at right back.
AyewJoking Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 We should blood the youth, starting with James pearon at right back. in the bath.
les-tah Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 We should blood milk the youth, starting with James pearon at right back. in the bath.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 Great aditude Say what you want but the accadermy team are on a roll.
Merging Cultures Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 On his own against 11?With Elvis obviously.No. Not on his own.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 The manager is ultimately responsible for the teams progression, not degeneration, which is what Pearson has done for our team. He should give back his salary for this season's fiasco, or better still, share it among the fans who have been morally cheated out of their money, thanks to him.
iancognito Posted 17 March 2015 Posted 17 March 2015 When we played 442 people moaned that we were too open. When we played 451, 541 and 343 people said it was too negative. He is responsible for it, the question is whether you sack a guy who's turned it round and improved it before or get someone else in and HOPE they can do better. Poyet was a hero 12 months ago because he 'bounced' Sunderland.
