Sooper Steve's shin Posted 24 July 2008 Posted 24 July 2008 Kish has moved up and taken Hume's number 7. Could be a sign he's back in favour (I would have though Adams might have had it). I think the manager decides, based on what the players want (preferred numbers etc) and his thinking about the first team. I could be wrong though.
Ric Flair Posted 24 July 2008 Posted 24 July 2008 Surprised Adams or Gradel didn't get the 7 shirt, not that it really matters. No other surprises really. I'm glad Kishishev is back in the frame, I think attitude and commitment wise, he'll be more reliable for us than Oakley and Clemence.

Other than that, there's few numbers we can read too much into... few players were changed from last season, most of those that were went up rather than down. Hayles has shot up the ranks to 19... doesn't indicate he's any more important as he's still one of the highest squad numbers we've got.

Finn Claw Posted 24 July 2008 Posted 24 July 2008 Hopefully one of Oakley or Clem will be gone, as will Howard and Hayles. that would free up some numbers. Isn't it easy to turn almost any topic into a rant about Howard - in fact I feel a bit sorry for him, I'm off to buy a replica shirt and get Howard 9 on the back of it.
