paddy Agyemang Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 We have been allocated 2,300 odd tickets and i was there last year and we sold 4,000 this is poor for Barnsley but the ticket prices are obviously the reason just hope we sell our allocation all i know is we had sold 1,200 on Friday so i think this should sell out. best places to drink is out of Barnsley and more into Sheffield but not 100% certain on which ones are the best

blueharmie Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 rip off! you think barnsely fans are paying £30 a ticket? joke.
thybluefox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 rip off! you think barnsely fans are paying £30 a ticket? joke. Well, uh, they are?

Ric Flair Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Kingy loves a goal or two against Barnsley, I get the feeling he needs a goal to kick start his season. However, if he's not doing the business after an hour i'd haul him off for Gallagher who behind Vassell and Beckford will be great for them pair latching on to his through balls. Danns has been out partying in Barbados over the weekend according to twitter, if he's come back in bad nick then we might see Abe come in for him. Any ideas when Johnson is back in training?
Clazie Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Any ideas when Johnson is back in training? When he stops eating the grass off the training ground.
Socks Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Schmeichal Pantsil Mills Bamba Konchesky Gally Wellens Fernandes Danns Vassell Beckford 4-4-2 ^^This but maybe St ledger Instead of Mills/Pantsil or maybe bring him on if koncheskys crap

Sorry on my iPod and Johnson is doing full training now plus is he an attacking player or defensive? Any ideas when Johnson is back in training?
norfolkfox222 Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Going to this from Norwich on the train. any good places for a pint in Barnsley failing that Sheffield? thanks

SemperEadem Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Sheffield has many good pubs, bang oposite the the station is the Howard, then further up into town you walk past many then there are the likes of Loyds and Yates etc. Devonshire cat has a great selection of foreign beers.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 No way did we take 4k last year, more like 1400.
Dan Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Looking forward to this although the main reason I'm going is because I've recently won a bet and it's the last away my mates will be going for a while before Uni. We really should be looking to win here, I mean they're similar to what we were a week or two ago in the fact they've lost every home game (Southampton, Middlesbrough and Morecambe) but remain unbeaten on the road. They'll need a win from somewhere and I'm pretty sure they'd love to get one over us simply because we always seem to win there. I'd probably go for a team of; Kasper Peltier - Mills - Bamba - KoncheskyWellensFernandes - DannsGallagherVassell - BeckfordSubs; Weale, St Ledger, King, Dyer, Schlupp Which would be 3 changes from the win over Saints, Nugent through injury, and I fear Pantsil & King will be tired due to internationals, the same reason Abe isn't on the bench (although I feel I'd have put King over him anyway). I'd give Gallagher a free role behind the two forwards to be honest, see how it works out, Fernandes and Danns can push out wide when needed and Wellens can hold it, I'm very surprised how well he seems to control a game from deep, I always had him more down as an attacking playmaker. Vassell & Beckford is the obvious choice and I do hope Schlupp features at some stage. Meh, we should be winning here really, we normally do with far weaker sides than this so sod it; Barnsley 0-3 Leicester; Beckford, Vassell, Schlupp.
Mr.Lowe Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Fingers crossed NO international injuries. SchmeichelPantsil - Mills © - Bamba - KoncheskyWellensFernandes - DannsKingVassell - BeckfordSubs: Weale, St. Ledger, Abe, Gallagher & Schlupp3-1 City. Beckford brace and King the other.
Rich Fox Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Going to this from Norwich on the train. any good places for a pint in Barnsley failing that Sheffield? thanks We found a great pub called the dove last year it has its own brewery and is away fans friendly. There is a cafe next door and parking opposite. I am going there again.
STEVIE B Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Going to this from Norwich on the train. any good places for a pint in Barnsley failing that Sheffield? thanks There are at least a dozen pubs within walking distance of Barnsley's train station. However, visiting fans are advised to avoid the town centre if in groups.
Swalker Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Not going because the prices are ridiculous. £30 for adult's!!!! Hardly great ground, city fans create a good atmosphere but not paying that for BARNSLEY
Fox92 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 No way did we take 4k last year, more like 1400. I was thinking this. Only time I think, we have taken 4k or over to Barnsley is when we were trying to stay up under Holloway and Worthington.
absolutelegend Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Team is obvious: Kasper Pantsil Mills Bamba Konchesky Wellens Danns Fernandes King Darius Beckford We finally have a settled'ish team (obviously except for nugent/beckford). why would we change it?
