We do have a remarkable record against Barnsley, both for winning and not conceding.

Im pretty sure as long as you missed the defeat a cuple of seasons ago at oakwell then you'd have a 100% record! We love em!

More confident when we play away than home at the min so I'll reckon we'll do it. Think it'll be close, maybe 2-3 with Becks, Wellens and Mills scoring*.

* at the right end.

I wouldn't underestimate Barnsley.

New manager in, and they look a completely differant team compaired to last year.

Still think we will win tho

1-3

Konch, King, Beckford

Few players on international duty for us. Hope they're not tired out. Though the only one that slightly concerns me is Fernandes. Anyone know if he played?

Came on as a late sub, so not really.

We're usually absolute chiefs against Barnsley, I think we'll do them this time around too.

Sven-Goran Eriksson said he is about to unleash his 'iceman' when Leicester City take on Barnsley tomorrow.

New signing Jermaine Beckford will be handed his debut at Oakwell and the City boss believes the chilling news should send a shiver down the Tykes' spines.

Eriksson said striker Beckford, right, who joined City on transfer deadline day from Everton for £2.5million, had looked clinical in training and praised the 27-year-old's coolness in the penalty box.

"You can see he is a goalscorer and a very good buy," said Eriksson.

"He has done five training sessions with us now and he has always scored goals. He is very cold inside the box, like ice.

"He is very quick and very dangerous when he runs in behind defenders. So far he has been looking very sharp in training.

"If you have pace and technique, and in his case he can score goals as well, it is very good.

"He is a threat all the time. You must mark him all the time and always be aware that if he gets in behind the defence, it is very difficult to catch him.

"He has been excellent in training and running is not a problem for him. He will work very hard."

City will be without striker David Nugent, who pulled a hamstring in the 3-2 win against Southampton a fortnight ago,.

Defender Michael Ball is also ruled out of the Barnsley trip with a calf strain.

Midfielder Michael Johnson has returned to full training after soreness of the knee, but Eriksson said he is not fit enough for first-team action just yet and is targeting City's Carling Cup trip to Cardiff for the 23-year-old's comeback.

"David Nugent is out for two or three more weeks and I would be surprised if he is ready before two weeks," said Eriksson.

"I think Michael Ball will be back next week.

"Michael Johnson has been training all this week and he has been fine, but I don't think his fitness levels are as good as they should be yet because he had some problems when he started with us.

"I hope he can play 90 minutes in the Carling Cup at Cardiff.

"We want him to prepare himself for that game and then take it from there."

Meanwhile, defender Liam Moore has extended his loan spell with League Two side Bradford City until the end of December.

The 18-year-old first-year professional has played every minute of every game for the Bantams this season since he joined on an initial one-month loan.

Sven's tongue is firmly lodged up Beckford's back passage. As I said to you before, Sven see's a lot of himself in Beckford. This is the start of a beautiful partnership. Gewon Jermaine.

be intresting to see what formation we play, 4-4-2 with beckford and vassell upfront?

I expect so, and I hope so. It will probably be the same 4-42 diamond we have been using to good effect, with the same players, except Beckford in for the injured Nuge.
