Happy Fox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Team is obvious: Kasper Pantsil Mills Bamba Konchesky Wellens Danns Fernandes King Darius Beckford We finally have a settled'ish team (obviously except for nugent/beckford). why would we change it? Was Wellens the holding midfielder I thought that was Fernandes role?
SemperEadem Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 I was thinking this. Only time I think, we have taken 4k or over to Barnsley is when we were trying to stay up under Holloway and Worthington. Holloway, Hume scored at our end and still to this day it for me has to be one of the best goal celebrations I have been in. Really thought we were safe after that game.
absolutelegend Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Was Wellens the holding midfielder I thought that was Fernandes role? That's how it looked to me last Sat. Wellens has been playing further back than he normally might to accommodate the other central midfielders. I think Fernandes is more likely to get into the box to get on the end of things than Wellens e.g. his goal at forest and his header against saints. only my opinion / observation though.

Fair enough I missed the games against Forest and Southampton, so I don't have much of a clue regarding players role in this diamond formation that we have adopted
Libertine Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 I guess it's quite a fluid midfield but I think it's Wellens in the holding role mostly as he's much slower than the rest and can sit back and spray his passes around.
paddy Agyemang Posted 6 September 2011 Author Posted 6 September 2011 We sold 2,307 last year, and have sold about the same this year if LCFC Direct is correct in saying we have around 100 seats remaining of the 2300 allocation. i was there last year and we sold nearly 4,000
paddy Agyemang Posted 6 September 2011 Author Posted 6 September 2011 Going to this from Norwich on the train. any good places for a pint in Barnsley failing that Sheffield? thanks im going to the game from yarmouth mate getting into norwich about 8.45
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 i was there last year and we sold nearly 4,000 No we didnt.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Sheffield has many good pubs, bang oposite the the station is the Howard, then further up into town you walk past many then there are the likes of Loyds and Yates etc. Devonshire cat has a great selection of foreign beers. The flat I'm moving into on Saturday is above the Devonshire cat, so there will be at least one Leicester fan in there
Dan Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 i was there last year and we sold nearly 4,000 Well, we didn't. It was practically the exact allocation they've given us this time, in-fact I believe they've given us the same number of tickets as we took last year, to start with, makes sense.
GLC Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 I hope if they sell out we can get tickets on the door like last time

Smiithy Fox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Schmeichel Peltier Bamba Mills Konchesky Fernandes Danns Wellens/Johnson (if fit) Gallagher Vassel Beckford 4-4-2 Diamond
Tielemans63 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Not going because the prices are ridiculous. £30 for adult's!!!! Hardly great ground, city fans create a good atmosphere but not paying that for BARNSLEY Does seem a bit steep when u consider that £50 will get u a 3-bed semi in Barnsley. Fact.
Jfox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 i was there last year and we sold nearly 4,000 It says on the Barnsley Website we sold 2307, and I went last year too and we did not have 4k
Fox92 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 The diamond standard; Schmeichel Peltier -- Mills -- Bamba -- Konchesky Fernandes King -- Wellens Danns Beckford -- Vassell Oh dear...... I emphasized the
