Rumours circulating that Calvert-Lewin is due in court tomorrow. Wasn’t involved at all yesterday for Everton after starting last Monday vs Spurs which I thought was strange. Things going from bad to worse for Everton ……

Wesley Fofana Signs New Contract Till 2027
Ross 'LCFC' Turner replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
Win, Win for all parties so absolutely buzzing with this! Fofana will have earnt himself a pay rise & have peace of mind with the long term security as how he recovers from this injury is still relatively unknown. We have protected the value of our asset and will command a huge fee for him should he carry on from where he left off. -
If we can beat Leeds on Saturday, all of a sudden the table looks a lot more promising again, especially when you consider our games in hand and the fixtures we have left to play, in particularly at home!

Mystic Ric, can I have tonight’s lotto numbers please? 👀 -
Feels like everything is just going straight through him at the minute, every shot on target seems to be a goal

LCFC vs Wolves (A) Sunday Feb 20 (4.30pm)
Ross 'LCFC' Turner replied to NaijaFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think Brendan will match them up: Kasper Ricardo Amartey Ndidi Vestergaard Thomas (Albrighton if injured) Tielemans KDH Maddison Daka Barnes -
I didn’t understand the Maddison sub as we were already cruising at 3-1, I would of just kept him fresh for the weekend. When he first went down with his hand in the air, I thought his hip had gone again!
-
Hahahah yep, Rodgers said in the Tottenham presser (around December 15th) he won’t make the game but hopes to have him back for Everton on Sunday. It’s now February 15th and he’s still probably another 5 weeks away
-
Our physios told Jonny Evans to run off his hamstring tightness when he actually had a grade 3 tear so I think it’s best he goes for a scan
-
What did Rodgers think he was going to bring to the game? He doesn’t win headers, has no strength, no pace and ultimately no confidence. If he wanted another body in defence he should of just put Ndidi in there and put mendy on. The sub wasn’t needed, we were relatively comfortable in the game.

I really am sick of him, the idiot just never learns

Liverpool 2-0 Leicester - Post Match Thread
Ross 'LCFC' Turner replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
Worked hard, did ok defensively and certainly looked more solid without Soyuncu but its frightening how its got to the point we are just happy with a 'reaction'. There's just absolutely no belief is there? No energy, no tempo, no confidence, no creativity, we are so slow and turgid to watch. I look at other teams and how their fullbacks are flying forwards on the overlap, they get bodies in the box and drive forward from midfield at pace. We just slow the game down -
Head losses following a lack of leadership/calming voice.

Losing 5-1 at Forest under Pearson in 2009 was a genuine shock. Even for the whole season we were rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table in 2014 / 2015, we still never got beat by more than a 2 goal margin. Capitulating and getting smashed under Rodgers is becoming a regular occurrence and doesn't even come as a surprise anymore. I've never seen a team so mentality weak, as soon as we are pressed high or conceded an early goal, heads just drop and we completely fold. -
Its signings like this that scare me for the 'rebuild' because he was never going to feature for the remainder of the season anyway. On Sunday, we had Perez, Vestergaard & Soumare on the bench, over 50 million pounds worth of players that he signed who cant even get on. Dennis Praet shipped out on loan. Its all well and good talking about a rebuild, a clear out, the lack of investment but when YOUR signings aren't good enough to improve the first team and have an impact, its no wonder our first team has gone stale.

You would like to think so, but amazingly they were given the day off. Unbelievable -
It’s already been over 5 weeks since the injury, crazy to think we’ve only played 4 league games since. In a perfect world where Rodgers 8 week absence stated turns out to be correct, he’s only a few more weeks / league games away.

The "do they mean us?" thread pt 3
Ross 'LCFC' Turner replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
We did the great escape under Pearson playing 3-5-2 (Schlupp & Albrighton wing backs) I don’t think Pearson would have switched to a 4-4-2 the following season but we’ll never know… -
I actually think Watford have more chance of survival with Hodgson in charge than the usual token appointment from abroad. It won't be pretty and its fairly underwhelming if you're a Watford fan but its the best chance they've realistically got, Ranieri was taking them down 100%.

The PL wouldn't want to upset the whole footballing world who are in Dubai from today onwards
-
Its the only thing that can explain some of his positioning yesterday I always associate the centre back in a 3 as the leader, the sweeper / last line of defense etc. Ours was playing centre mid!

Summer 2022 priorities (and realistic options)
Ross 'LCFC' Turner replied to Allenho11's topic in Transfer Talk
There's a lot of deadwood in this squad and a lot of contracts running out by the end of next season: Amartey Kasper Vardy Ricardo Soyuncu Perez Mendy Tielemans Choudhury Evans Add to the list above that Praet, Vestergaard, Bertrand SHOULD also be moved onto, we have a huge rebuild ahead of us. I've said it many times across various threads, but it really does feel like we'll look back at this season / squad in years to come and wonder "what if" we were able to get them all fit and on the pitch together. -
Would love to know why he played left of the 3 yesterday? Especially when Soyuncu has always played in that role. I wonder if Soyuncu was told to just man mark Kane?
-
We all say ‘he walks into most midfields in the world’ but where do people genuinely see him going? We know better than anyone he’s better when he’s constantly in a rhythm and continuously playing games, so joining a team like Man City where he’s constantly in and out might hinder his performances as you seen how rusty he was tonight, although I suppose he would be playing with better players week in and week out …..
