Hello Robbie!
-
I agree they were poor in the playoffs - however, did you ever look at that team and the players they had in their squad? Realistically they shouldn't have been anywhere near the playoffs - he did a brilliant job getting them there with that squad.
-
Good idea that, emphasise the walk through but work it in to the design so it gets lots of foot traffic going through and around all the stalls.
-
Definitely, the game that year against the Netherlands when he was MoM I thought he was in for sure, looked so comfortable.
-
An Argentinian managing England? No chance. He'd never be able to return to his home country if he took that job.
-
I just had to Google it as I didn't know. How on earth does he keep getting great jobs?
-
Just looking at the confirmed Portugal squad, haven't really been mentioned but they've got to be one of the favourites for it surely? What a team.
-
I actually think we did ok, although I still think Marc Albrighton should have got to a squad during 2015/16. Just looked it up and we've had the following players get a cap since that season; James Justin (2022), 1 Cap Harvey Barnes (2020), 1 Cap James Maddison (2019-2023), 3 Caps Ben Chilwell (2018-2019), 11 Caps Harry Maguire (2017-2019), 20 Caps Danny Drinkwater (2016), 3 Caps Jamie Vardy (2015-2018), 26 Caps Then I'm sure Demarai Gray got tothe bench the game that was at the KP. Not too bad really.
-
I think he's quite underrated actually. Chelsea have played much better second half of the season and it's coincided with his good form. Don't think he's a starter but he could come in for Bellingham or Foden and play alongside Rice a little further back.
-
Sky Sports News are saying that GS will announce a 33-man initial squad so I would imagine pretty much everyone not already mentioned as not being in will be in unless he has another surprise or 2 up his sleeve.
-
True, not one I had down to go and think there's others in the LW spot that have had better seasons e.g. Gordon
-
BBC saying Grealish is in
-
Because he doesn't play on the left for Man City. Him and Bellingham have basically played similar positions and both excelled this season so for me they both play CAM in behind Kane, with Rice at CDM. For me I'd sacrifice Palmer not playing in the middle and stick him on the left, Saka on the right.
-
Have you watched Foden this season? If GS doesn't play Foden and Bellingham central with Rice behind, then he needs sacking. Rice has done well for Arsenal there this season but not to the same level plus he has always done well for England in behind. Simple.
-
Interesting the BBC has more or less confirmed 11 players so far GK's Trafford and Henderson, then Guehi, Cowill, Branthwaite, Quansah, Wharton, Eze, Bowen, Jones and Toney. That's 11 our of an apparent initial 30 which leaves about 19 spaces left. I feel a big name is going to miss out, I'm guessing Rashford and/or Maddison.
-
I wouldn't be against Eze coming in for Rashford at all but I think GS will want someone that can play more than one position and he's one that can do that. Shaw I'm not happy with either but when fit he is our best LB, just hasn't played enough this season but will be good cover for BC. Maddison I think should be in, he's had a poor end to the season but I think he'd raise his game for England.
-
MY final 26 is; GK's Pickford, Ramsdale, Johnstone DEF Walker, TAA, Trippier, Stones, Maguire, Colwill, Guehi, Branthwaite, Chilwell, Shaw MID Rice, Henderson, Bellingham, Gallagher, Maddison, Palmer, Foden, Gordon, Saka, Bowen ATT Kane, Watkins, Rashford My feeling is with GS he'll want 5 CB's, at least 2 RB/LB's and then Trippier who can do both. I think he'll want 2 for every position in midfield and then Rashford can play CF or LW as cover. Losing out for me is Grealish, Eze, Toney then maybe Mitchell and Gomez in defence.
-
Completely agree but it's almost like wasted energy willing for GS to play like that, he doesn't dare do anything unorthodox or anything that could be seen as adventurous. Will be right behind England this tournament - with the level of players we have we should be going in with every confidence of winning or making the final but with GS you just feel like he doesn't have it in him to go for it. I hope I'm proved wrong.
-
There's definitely a good little player in there, still young so I imagine he'll get better. What are the chances he gets signed by an Italian club next season and he absolutely rips it up
-
Left back is the one position that's troubling me. I think Chilwell is a dead cert. Shaw's only played like 10 - 15 games this whole season and I would be worried about taking him. I know GS has played Trippier there before but just feels like it's our weak spot in the swquad.
-
Get a grip lad
-
I might be wrong but I'm sure the club said (at the time) that they would do one in the future for Kingy as they couldn't at the time when he left during Covid.
-
Actually mad that we can't have something like this in the UK, closest thing is when Amazon has a round of games and sometimes have a few on simultaneously
-
Wouldn't surprise me if they try and get Rosenior in. Got close with Hull and I think if he hadn't been sacked he would have got play-offs next season at least.
-
The way they set up and played in the first leg at home I think it's probably justified. Seemed to be so negative and had no urgency to get forward or to try and take the game to Leeds. Knowing that the away leg at Elland Road was going to be difficult they had to try and nick something at home but he seemed happy to just avoid defeat.
