  1. 2018: Paying £12m for a back up keeper 2021: New 4 year deal 2023: Almost single handedly relegates us, pound-for-pound worst keeper in our history 2024: Still f ucking here and playing Rudkin masterclass all the way through.
  2. If that's the case then a good manager reconciles with the player. Picking Ward is picking relegation. It's absolutely insane hes at the club and it's even worse he's getting minutes.
  3. It's amazing how stale it is behind the scenes. The only movement in key positions at the club are through people leaving. We never have any fallings out that mean people move on, we don't create new depts or bring in new roles entirely. Rudkin has been in the position for what 10 years now and since then his responsibilities have only ever expanded. Even if he was any good (he's not) he's massively overstretched. Director of Football Academy Manager Some responsibility at KP Racing Top is too close to him personally to manage him objectively. I missed this Sam Wallace article at the time but he's consistently said Rudkin runs the football ops. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/ruud-van-nistelrooy-walking-old-195128071.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAKVCMKwhRcpupRN2MhmH9kgLsUvUFEvboRrElFEjQSOJsA3MPljIXAmkXNEIrY978TQFa2_lU9HtMNA-0GJ3paU2LeAPo0S-pIHdtryhF4aRUacessMMC2diLqTsKoK50VA_lGbDTtDG_SxugVd724-OG7G7fdL9Pd7vcBXHenZn

  5. That's cool, I buy that and had no idea it was local.
  6. Bar was rammed so I didn't see all of it, mostly standard as far as I could tell. The range is almost besides the point at somewhere like that though. Started at Canal House, then went to the Kean's Head, King Billy, Bath Inn, Malt Cross, Rescue Rooms for a gig , capped of by Bodega and The Blind Rabbit (?). My head is still mush now.
  7. Round Corner, Mount St Bernard’s, Charnwood and Braybrooke are genuinely excellent breweries. Every time I’m at train station I look out for a Gent’s clock. Fred Perry polos are made in Leicester. Admiral and Gola were established here. I’ll write some more up tomorrow.
  8. Ticked a few more off in Nottingham today, it’s miles ahead of cities it ought not to be. The Bath Inn is marvellous.
  9. Like always if the club ran this by the actual fans who work for them, they’d get the necessary veto.I know for a fact there’s at least one very sound bloke employed by this them. They probably outsource all of this merch including the design which is why it just doesn’t land.
  10. That's extreme, he's never been a laughing stock like Heskey was. I think It's probably just his personality that feeds into his perception as a footballer. Chugging back redbulls, leaving his foot and chopping down rainbow corner flags in doesn't go hand in hand with being an extremely precise, technical player. Now he's adored by probably 70% of the media and fans. The other 30% are incorrigible bores that probably otherwise moan about footballers lacking personality these days.
  11. It's interesting how he's totally dispelled some of the tags thrown at him. One season wonder Not a natural finisher Pace merchant No all round game It was probably only from 17-18 onwards he was taken seriously as deadly striker but even then there were reservations about him. People still scoffed at the idea of him being effective for a 'big club'. He's a footballing legend and phenomenon not just our legend.
  12. It's funny Pep gets the stick for ruining football because cargo cult m ongs like Postecoglu and Martin copy him.
  13. I thought this was like themightyfin's Wario... "actually I'm in the know Rudkin is wank"
  14. Had an Andechser 5.9% Helles bottle at Wilfred Pinsent yesterday. What a bottle shop and micropub that is, by the way.
  15. Hitting 20 in 17-18 under Shakespeare and Puel was such an achievement. 55th all time for PL assists too. 4 more gets him in the top 50. 1 more than Kane
  16. https://fbref.com/en/players/9b2779f5/Ivan-Azon Seems to constantly underperform his xG but he's wining 5.5 aerial duel per 90 which is crazy for a 5'11 player. 6 goals and 2 assists in 982 minutes for a mediocre Zaragoza side. Worth scouting
  17. Bizarrely I think Barnes probably get more flak than if he want home grown. Probably KDH too. But in McAteer’s case it’s the opposite
  18. If Ayew or BDCR put in McAteer's performances they'd be crucified. His passing accuracy is 70% and he barely passes forwards. He's been successful with 1 out of 7 attempted take ons. It's not his fault he's being played when he's out of his depth but he offers so little going forwards in the PL, he can't pass, cross or take anybody on. If he's in the side for his work rate then Mavididi, BDCR, BEK and Buonanotte all work equally as hard, if not harder.
  19. They'll have to liberalise booze surely, even if it's just temporary

The history behind samples is genuinely interesting anyway but this is masterfully edited. Had no idea about the Moby one, genius.

  22. We're overly reliant on BEK and FB with Fatawu's injury. One swallow doesn't make a summer with Soumare either so having a talented and versatile goal threat is no bad thing. He played 433 as well as 4231 pretty frequently according to this https://www.transfermarkt.com/ruud-van-nistelrooy/leistungsdatenDetail/trainer/36058 It all depends on the wages we'd pay but if we can get him in he's a great option, particularly if he is available in the summer.
  23. We don't have any box to box midfielders. BEK and FB are 10s, Skipp, Winks, Soumare, Ndidi & Choudhury. None of them are goal threats or creative. It's not exactly a priority position but if we can get a desperately keen player back on loan with a favourable wages then we we should do it. Potentially lays the ground work to get him back in the summer too.
  24. We have a set of defensively sound forward players now. Buonanotte, BEK, Mavididi, Fatawu and BDCR all work hard and track back well. Means he isn’t exposed as often. He does look more motivated but there was a moment against West Ham or Brighton where he was 1 v 1 with their winger in acres of space and it was like he short circuited. Took him about 3 seconds to engage him. He needs to play alongside Ndidi otherwise there is just too great a defensive responsibility placed on him.
  25. Bit early to proclaim he's been a success. Looked miles off until he's had a few cameos under RVN - I hope he turns out to be a blinding signing but we can't get carried away although I was always happier with BDCR than Ayew.
