I think our play is too procedural, players largely stay in their zones and the wingers are often too wide. England is football mad, there’s the perception Italians are more mental because they have more flares and flags and a football newspaper. Yet here we have insane numbers even for totally amateur football. Small L2 clubs still take 100s away on weeknights, the biggest barometer of passion is essentially how many people will go and watch. Football isn’t cheap here either like it is in most of Europe.

The Championship was extremely weak last season and then Burnley probably have a weaker side now than last season. Us, Ipswich, Leeds, Southampton etc are a different grade to last season's contenders. Lets sign Hamer when SUFC go down.
