Souttar and Okoli haven’t looked convincing in their limited minutes. We should be using the time to prep Nelson. -
I like him, I think he'll be a pretty decent lower PL keeper but that's about it imo - he's basically the same age as Hermansen.
-
If he does that I can't get behind him. We're chronically uncreative and picking ever stodgier line ups is just dumb, we won't go up if we can't score more than once a game. We're 18th for xG for, play with an actual striker ffs
-
His greatest strength is beating players one vs one and you get much less of an opportunity to do that in the middle. I don't think it's good for his development to start messing with his position yet.

We’ve seen what happens when players aren’t committed and their contracts are expiring… the worst PL relegation ever. Rudkin as DoF (and academy director ffs) has used this experience to do precisely nothing differently. Even if Nelson is worse (debatable) than Vestergaard and Faes he at the very least has a medium term future here. Vestergaard is 33 and Faes has about 8 months left on his deal. Any sensible club would have learnt from the monumental ****-ups before and just trusted Nelson from the start of the season. We’ll get to the end of this season, lose Faes on a free, Vestergaard will be 34 the following season leaving our options as Nelson (deal expires 2027), Okoli and Souttar (both e. 2029). There isn’t any forward planning. -
Long term recurring eye injury?

It’s a shame Kimber never kicked on because he had the talent but ultimately he had enough chances. Not young anymore either.

Amazing what happens when you sign good upwardly mobile players from Europe rather “Skipp” and “Ayew”

Sunderland have 44% of our points total from 24-25, 16% of the way into the season.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

Most predictable free kick ever. -
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Stadt replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He is a bad footballer - he’s a winger with 549 apps, 85 goals and 45 assists. He doesn’t look terrible in that he doesn’t have a poor touch or really do anything overtly bad but in the aggregate he adds nothing. I hated the signing at the time and he’s been even more of a hindrance than I expected. Dross -

Necessary. You have idiots think he plays well though because he sees so much of the ball (to the detriment of the team). Even shit strikers are better than no striker. -
Because they’re working in an environment where they just manage in their own self interest and there is no design on the future. Vestergaard has two years left (he’s 33) and Faes has one. A competent club would have already let them go or sold them. Instead we play players that are expensive, declining or don’t want to be here because they might be marginally better right now. This short termism is why we’re perennially in a mess. Look at how we managed Iversen, dicked around an academy graduate that would have kept us, extended his deal, didn’t play him and then rejected a £4m - left on a free. It’s the worst of all worlds time and time again
-
Hope if we get a fine for failing to control our players we contest it. Carranza and Abdul’s were totally wrong. Chav twat.
-
3 starts between them and 2 were out of necessity. What I mean is our academy players have to jump through hoops all the time, Nelson is being held to a higher standard than any of our other CBs? Why is he dropped for mistakes but Faes and Vestergaard play with impunity. Nelson has gone out on loan 3 times, impressed everywhere, looked good in the few games for us in the championship last time and gets to watch proven failures cost us points?
-
Why is one 45 minutes in a shit side thrown together for a cup game enough to rule him out but Faes/Vestergaard can shit up games all they like? If he cost us £6m he wouldn’t have been treated like this. The approach to academy players is all wrong and you’d think having the director of football also being the academy director might help but, no it doesn’t.
-
If he persists with Ayew up front then I’ll think very little of him - up until now I’ve thought he’s done a good job in difficult circumstances but he’s shooting himself in the foot now
-
What do you expect when you have Soumare and the Soumare of forwards in the same side. Net negatives in possession
-
Chav ref is shit

“Daka can’t hit a barn door!!!” At least he’s near the barn

Ayew ruins any enjoyment I have watching us play.
